|Chapter 13 - Girl Meets Thanksgiving|
*Lucas' Point of View*
"What the hell are you doing here mom?!"
Maya stands up from her seat and walks towards the woman that looks almost exactly like her.
"I'm here to take you out of school! We're moving and we need to pack immediately."
Riley and I both stand from our seats, and yell out,
"What?!"
Maya looks like she's is a daze and I immediately reach for her.
"Don't Ranger Rick. Just... don't."
She walks out of the class with her mother right behind her.
I can't believe this.

"It was five years ago Riley, let it go."
It's Thanksgiving and after five years, Maya finally sent a post card. We haven't heard from her after all these years.
After Maya left, I started dating Riley and Farkle started dating Smackle. Though, when I started dating Riley, it didn't feel right. She felt like a sister to me. But I could never tell her that.
Now, five years later, and we're all in our freshman year of college, living our lives with Maya on our minds here and there.
"I know, b-but s-she finally c-contacted m-m-me." Riley instantly cried when she saw it was from Maya.
"What does the post card say?"
Riley never got to open it. Just looked at the envelope. There's no return address though.
Riley, with shaky hands, opens the envelope up and reads out loud,
Dear Riley and Lucas,
I'm sorry that I never contacted you after five years, three months, one week, and thirty-eight minutes. Yes, I kept track.
I bet you're both wondering how I knew you two would be together when you got this. Well... I had some people keep tabs on you guys. I don't mean that in a stalkerish way, but... who am I kidding. Yeah I do.
Anyway, I hope you two live a long happy life because I'm never returning.
