~Lucas Friar's Point of View~

"You knew where she's been for the past five years and you never told us?!" I'm tightly clenching Farkle's shirt and I have the temptation to kill him, but he knows where Maya is.

"Um... yes?"

"Farkle, by now I would have murder you, but you know where my best friend is, so speak or Lucas will go all Texas on your ass."

Even though I'm with Riley, all these years, I only thought of Maya and her crystal blue eyes. I mean, how can you not fall in love with those eyes? Wait? Did I just say love? No, I don't love Maya. I'm with Riley and that's that.

"I don't know if I should speak considering one wrong move and I'm dead."

"Farkle, just tell us where she is." I let go of Farkle's shirt, knowing that'll get us nowhere. Farkle doesn't give answers because he's threaten. He gives answers to those who need them.

"I'm sorry, but I promised Maya that I'll never tell her location."

I stared into Farkle's eyes deeply and he knows I'm trying to get into his mind. He quickly turns his head and I instantly know he's lying.

"Farkle... you don't know where she is, do you?" His face gives Riley and me the answer and I feel like punching him again.

"We've been wasting an hour talking to Farkle when we could have been using that time to find Maya!"

"It's no use Lucas. She's never coming back and you need to accept that."

I pretend those words never came out of Farkle's mouth, but they are already in the air. Never coming back.

"You're lying again Farkle! She will come back, and if she doesn't... I'll find her myself."

I can feel Riley's piercing stare on me and I look into her brown eyes. They don't captivate me like Maya's beautiful blue eyes.

"Why do you care so much on finding Maya? I mean, I'm her best friend but even I'm not trying that hard to find her."

"Maybe because I actually care about her unlike you two seem not to do."

"Excuse me? Are you accusing me of not caring for my best friend."

"She... um... actually called you her ex-best friend..." Instantly the atmosphere changed. Stupid Farkle.

"What? She did...?" Hearing the vulnerability in Riley's voice reminds me of the time when Maya felt vulnerable.

The sound slowly breaks my heart.

"Yea... she did..."

"Oh..."

"Guys! Who cares what she said. We all know she doesn't mean it. We need to find her. This is like hide n' go seek. We're the seekers and she's the hider."

"Interesting way of putting the situation into perspective, Lucas."

"Thank you Farkle." I put a little smirk on my face, considering how proud I am.

"I think I know where she is..."

Riley, Farkle and I whip are heads around to see Katy Hart, Maya Hart's mother.
