Chapter 1- Beginning of the End

The hall of Eastview High was dangerously quiet. All the students sat in class, watching the clock like hawks. Lexie, Madison and I sat in the back row in Mr. Jones psychology class, bearly hearing what he had to say. The whole school had been buzzing weeks earlier of how this summer was going to be the best yet! My friends were getting super excited and couldn't wait for the clock to strike 3pm. I leaned back in my chair and stretched my legs, 5 more minutes the clock read. The hands moved slower and slower and my mind drifted back to this morning, were my parents were lecturing my twin brother and I of how we should be responsible adults on our summer trip.
'Brian, you're technically older! So am expecting you to take care of your sister.' My mom said while she was busy making breakfast. My brother looked at me with an evil grin on his face an replied,
'Ofcourse mother! I will watch over her with my life..' with sarcasm in his tone.
My grandfather was wealth and he had given my parents a holiday home in Bora Bora as a wedding present 21 years ago. My parents maintained the place and now we have somewhere to escape to when things get rough. This year, my father had promised me that I could go there on summer holidays with my brother and our friends as a chance to relax and enjoy before we stepped into our new respective college lives. Most kids from my school went on holidays to Bora Bora n some of my friends themselves owned guesthouses there, so inviting people was not an issues for either of us.

The school bell went off and students burst of from every classroom, roaring with noise and screams. Everyone was ready for a long n well deserved holiday.

'Bliss, come on...' Lexie screamed as she pushed her way through the schools doors. I was a rather middle sized person. Not too tall and not to short. I had big grey eyes, which changed color in the sunlight. My hair was long, straight and dark with a few red trends at the bottom. It was the last day of school, so I wore the shortest black studded short I had with an Air Jordan white t.shirt and pumps. I had my shades on my head, my phone in my hand and my bag on my back. I had that carefree attitude n didn't take any bullshit from anyone. I made it outside and found Lexie, Brian, Maddie n some of my other friends waiting for me. I wouldn't say we were popular but my brother and I were memorable Desai twins. Brian was the captain of the football team and all the girls wanted to be with him. I on the other hand was captain of the cheer leading squad, along with my two best friends, Lexie West and Madison Milano we were the schools sweethearts. Our small circle of friends included five boys: Derek Jordan; My cousin n Maddie's boyfriend, Aidan Grayson; childhood friend, Danny Lockwood; Brian's best friend and my secret lover, Wren Anderson; childhood friend and Brian himself.
On the girls side there was Lexie, Maddie, Jayde Taylor; Brian's girl friend, Kylie Stravens; childhood friend and myself. This squad was enough to make the holidays memorable! Brian and I had a house, Derek had a house and Jayde had a house. That was more than enough to enjoy the islands of Bora Bora and it was all close to each other.
All of us were excited but some of us decide to start the holidays early, such as Wren; who was basically already high.

'Dudeee.. I can't believe you didn't wait for me.' I said as I approached them. Everyone turned their attention to Wren,
'Once a Stoner, always a Stoner' he said n smiled. We all laughed along.
'Who else is hitting up Charle's party tonight?!' Derek asked with an arm around Maddie's waist.
'I thought we all were!' Stephen replied.
'Yeah! We got to go!' Kylie added 'He personally invited you Bliss, we have too...please...I heard he's building a stage and all that.' She said.
'I don't know about you guys, but am definetly hitting that party, am done packing. But remember our flight is early tomorrow!' I said with a serious look on my face.
'We got this, don't worry!' Derek confirmed.
'Am gonna sleep, coz I can't like stay high till tomorrow!' Wren said
'Bye!' He said abruptly 'call me tomorrow morning' he added and slowly waked away to go take the bus.. We all cracked up laughing.
After talking about a few gossips and a few clarifications the boys headed down to Derek's place to play video games while the girls and I went back to my place to make a few finalizations.
They all hopped in my black range rover and we drove off as Kylie and Maddie sang 'Here's to never growing up' at the top of their lungs and definitely off key.
