Chapter 6 Truth or Dare

Bliss's P.O.V
I woke up early the next day for an early swim in the sea, I felt the ocean calling since we'd land the night before. It was around 5:45am and the sun had just began to rise, it was a beautiful sight. I sat on the beach, watching as the first rays of sunshine touch the sea.
We barely had anything planned for the day, everyone was still tierd. Lexie had spent the night with Nathan and I had not seen her for the whole day. Maddie and Derek had gone into town to buy groceries, Jayde and Brian were hanging out by the pool together with Wren, Siena and Aidan. They all sat in the lounge chairs getting tanned under the hot summer sun. I walked up to them, and said
'Tsk tsk...we are in Bora Bora, the most beautiful of all islands and you guys are sitting on your lazy asses getting tanned.'
'Yah, well we're tired.' Jayde said as she rested her head on Derek's shoulder.
'CANNOBALL!' Stephen screamed as he ran towards the pool and jumped in, making a huge splash and getting me all wet. Everyone laughed at me and I joined them sarcastically,
'Really Stephen?!' I said angrily as he stepped out of the pool.
'Come on, lighten up love! This party is just beginning. Now, give me a hug?!' He answered as he opened his arms widely, and walked towards me. I was standing near to the pool, not quite at the edged but every step he took, I took one backwards and before I knew it, I fell into the pool. I was so frustrated when I got out of the pool, I felt like strangling him. Brian tossed me a towel, as he kept laughing. I dried up and even though I was pissed, I still wanted everyone to have a good time. So since Stephen was standing beside me by the edge of the pool, I was pushed me n he fell out of balance and landed in the pool, pulling me along with him.
'Double dip?!' He asked as he wrapped his hands round my waits as if he'd forgotten everyone was staring. I wanted to kiss him desperately but I didn't and just pulled away without a word. We kicked back and relaxed for the rest of the day, and by the end everyone was all cozied up to each other around the bonfire. It gets cold at night around these place and I would pick moments around the bonfire over partying in a club. Jayde was sitting in Brian's laps n to their right, Derek and Maddie sat all comfortable. Nathan had his arms around Lexie, warming her up and Wren and Siena were getting way too comfortable. Kylie beside Aidan n I sat by a sofa resting my back on its side and Stephen at the back of me playing in my hair, and Danny to my right. He was so annoying right now, getting in the middle of everything.
'How about a game of truth or dare?!' Wren suggested and looked at Siena with a grin on his face while she giggle n agreed.
'Ok, spin the bottle.' Brian said to me, pointing to the bottle, on the glass table, next to the bonfire.
I spinned and it landed on Lexie,
'Truth or dare?!' I asked looking at her with an evil smile on my face.
'Truth?!' She said not being sure.
'Are you a virgin?!' Stephen hurried and asked. Urghhhh... I screamed in my head.
'Yeah!' She said and flustered.
'Next!' Brian commanded. I spinned the bottle and it landed on me.
'Truth or dare?!' Asked Siena.
'Dare!' I said confidently.
'Ok, spin the bottle and whoever it stops at, you get 7 minutes in heaven with them. No matter who!' She answered giggling.
'Ok, easy!' I said. Stephen moved from the couch and sat to the left of me, I was nervous! Danny and Stephen both waited impatienly wishing for the bottle to pick them. I took a deep breath and spun the bottle, round n round n round it went and slowly came to a stop at.....Stephen!
Oh god no, why him?! I screamed in my head. Danny was furious and Stephen had a smirk on his face.
He stood up and offered me a hand, I refused it but got up.
'Go Bliss, get ur freak on!' Lexie chanted. I was irritated, and still mad at him for kissing that girl..I was jealous and didn't want him to know. I led the way to the pool house, he shut the door and locked it, my heart was racing, faster n faster with each step he took and came closer, I moved back, until I hit a counter. I was trapped n he was already too close for me to make a run for it.
I could smell his perfume, how I longed for his lips on mine, but I had to stay focused.
'Say no Bliss, No!' My self conscious said. He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me close,
'Are you afraid?!' He asked with a dark look in his eyes.
'N..no!' I said shakily.
And he kissed me, sparks started to fly, his grip got harder, his lips felt softer and I kissed him back. Suddenly, he lifted me from the floor and placed me on the counter, his lips locked to mine. I moaned quietly and he kissed me harder, he kissed me as if it was his last time. His hand moved down to my lap, I had a short dress on and he slipped his hands through it and softly rubbed my inner thigh. I wanted him, my body ached for his touch and kisses badly, but I pushed away.
'Stop!' I commanded and he did. Pulling his hands away n looking into my eyes.
'Why'd you kiss her?!' I asked playing in his messy hair,
'No reason, I don't know her!' He replied pecking me.
'Stephen!' I said
'We can't keep doing this. I don't want anyone getting hurt because of this.' I added
'Do you trust me?!' He asked
'Yes, to infinity!' I replied.
'Then you got nothing to worry about.' He replied and kissed me once again.
After my 7 minutes were over and we got back to the game, and played for a while longer, embarrassing secrets got out, like how my brother had a fetish for tiny girls, and how Derek still wore a SpongeBob underwear to sleep in, and how Danny had 2 girlfriends and a side chick. I spun the bottle after Jayde's dare to give Maddie a lap dance and it landed on Siena.
'Truth or dare?!' Asked Brian.
'Dare!' She said
'I dare you to make out with Wren!' He said.
Everyone focused on them, Siena turned to Wren, placed a hand on his cheek and kissed him. He kissed her back and things started to look like a porno movie.
'Get a room!' Aidan screamed as they made out next to him.
I spun the bottle again, it fell on Lexie and she was dared to make out with a girl of her choice. To my surprise Lexie  kneeled down beside Stephen, and looked at me, and said
'Pucker up, hot stuff!'. She pulled my face closer, Stephen was in between us, and she kissed me. Now it was no ordinary kiss, it was long, wet and tongue tide, I kissed her back making longer, and Stephen enjoyed every moment.
'Bliss!' Brian said opening his eyes widely.
'What?!' I replied
'Its a game!' I added.
I spun the bottle again, this time it landed on Stephen.
'Truth or dare?!' Nathan asked his brother.
'Truth!' He said looking eyeing me to on the side.
'Did Chloe ever get rid of the baby?!' He asked, Nathan and his brother were not on good terms. I had seen them arguing at Charles's party on again before we boarded the plane. I was sure this was payback, but who in hell was Chloe?! The look on Stephen's face was irreplaceable, he was furious at his brother and I could tell. He folded his hand into a fist and said
'How dare you?!'
'Answer the question, brother!' Nathan said with a big old smile on his face. I knew he was nervous and angry, so I placed my hand on his and gave him a warm smile. He slowly began to relax, and answered
'No!'
What?! Stephen had a baby momma?! I can't believe this. Everyone stared at him, with a surprised look on their faces.
'Ok, game over! I'm going to check on Joanne, are you coming?! I said breaking the silence, as I got up and offered him my hand. He took it and we walked to the front door in an awful silence.
'Bliss, you shouldn't have found out like this!' He said with shame running across his face.
'We can talk about this later, right now let's see how your mom is!' I answered but my mind went wild about 'Chole' and an unborn child.

Joanne was asleep on the couch when we got there. Stephen slowly woke her up and we helped her to her room. Stephen thought I didn't know, but I was aware that Joanne had been recently diagnosed with leukemia, a malignant progressive disease in which the bone marrow and other blood-forming organs produce increased numbers of immature or abnormal leukocytes. These suppress the production of normal blood cells, leading to anemia and other symptoms. Leukemia is different from many cancers, as there is no tumor. As leukemia progresses, the frequency of transfusions may increase to two or three times a week. Requiring transfusions more frequently is usually considered a milestone. More frequent transfusions usually are not helpful and the patient is likely to live only a few more days, or a very few weeks at most.
Joanne looked weak and pale nowadays, my mom had told me about after I saw her crying over the phone. There had been no match to her bone marrow, so the doctors predicted that she had about less than six months. She wasn't depressed about it at all, but instead took life as it went by.
Stephen on the other hand thought I didn't know, I played along so as to make him more comfortable. He was the eldest and had to take care of his mom.
After laying her in bed, I sat by her side while Stephen went to get a glass of water,
'Bliss, promise me you will take care of him when am gone!?' She said as she took my hand.
'Don't talk like that! Please.' I replied and felt my heart breaking.
'I'm still kicking, but that's my death wish to you!' She said softly before Stephen returned with the glass and placed it on the table.
'I promise!' I said and kissed her cheek
'Goodnight!' She said and slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep.
'Can we talk?!' He asked after shutting the door to his mum's room.
'Sure!' I said with a small smile on my face.
We went upstairs to his room, he shut the door then sat on his bed. I stood there looking like an idiot, out of place.
'Sit! You're making me nervous.' He commanded. I bit my lip and took a sit next to him.
'I want you to listen, don't say a word until I'm done. Ok?!' He said and I nodded n bit my lip harder to stop myself from talking.
'I was with this girl last year and we were kinda together, we got drunk one night and thing got super intimate. She was studying back in London at the same college as I did. She called me 2 months after we graduated claiming she was pregnant, I said fine I can send a ticket for her and she can meet me and we can settle this once and for all. She rejected my invite, I asked her to for a blood test of the baby to see if it would match mine, she refused. She said she wanted to remove it and asked me to send her cash for it, and I did. After a month, she called again saying that she was keeping it and that she would sue me for all the expenses that I should have been making. I got furious and flew to London to see her, and I did! Her father was a lawyer and gave me a restraining order to keep away from her.
Everything I did was to cover this up, amend my mistake but she won't let me. This morning, Nathan and I went to the shack my dad owned and we saw her, all fat and round.
I asked her for a check up and she agreed to it, and its tomorrow.' He explained.
'Would you come with me?!' He asked, I was nervous and confused I didn't know what to tell him!
'I don't know Stephen, its not my place.' I replied
'How come?! You know how much you mean to me and I would love if you would come with me for support.' He said
'I'll think about it!' I said and stood up to leave, and I can't believe he used the 'my mom has cancer card' on me!
'Try again sweety, I know! Joanne's going to be fine!' I said mocking him
'How?!' He asked
'I'm not stupid Stephen!' I said
'No, how is she going to be ok?!'
'They found a match!'
'Really?! Who?!' He asked looking nervous.
'I don't know yet, but they did! Tuesday there's an appointment. Here at the house.' I answered
'I hope your right.' He said.
'I'll see you tomorrow.' I said and attempted to unlock the door.
'Stay!' He said standing up in front of me.
'Why?' I asked
'I don't want to sleep alone tonight!' He said looking sad
'Just to sleep Bliss, I promise.' He said reaching out for my hand.
I agreed and climbed into bed and turned my back to him,
'Let me see your face?!' He commanded and I turned to face him and he asked
'Does it bother you?!'
'What?!'
'All that I said?'
'I trust you, that's all that matters.' I answered and he shifted and layed on his back and stared blankly into the ceiling.
'I always thought my first child would be with someone I love!' He said.
'Well, have you been in love?! Its stupid, painful and..' I started to say but he finished my sentence
'Overrated!'
It was cold so I moved closer to him so I could feel his body warmth, he noticed and pulled me closer. My head rested on his chest, his hands around me and we both fell asleep.
