Sexy Costumes

It takes away the feeding monster and absorbs it's energy, it makes them more powerful. But there is a cost for both the victim and the savior. And although it may not seem like it at first, like the same way a seed cannot be seen buried in dirt. It is planted and it will grow over time.

"LIGHT LOVELY MAGIC!" Tina shouted, the Dark Nightmare shrieked in agony and left the body of the person alone. It had been easier to find this one, it had only begun to feed and didn't make an entire battlefield for them to fight on. Instead she had fought it in an alleyway. The Dark Nightmare vanished leaving only the person it was feeding off of, Tina didn't know who he was but Amare had lead her here, the two had been doing this for a little more than two weeks now. Sneaking off every night. The man lay, he would be out for a minute or two. She transformed back to herself, just regular old Tina Belcher. To think that only a few weeks ago she had been worried about her life getting boring. Only a few weeks ago she had become the Guardian Romance and only a few weeks ago....she had gone on that date with Josh. After absorbing the dark Nightmare she had woken up hours later with a headache, what she wondered was how she had gotten to her bed. Had Josh carried her back princess style? If only that was the case, he had called her dad to come get her. It was odd how almost everyone at Wonder Wharf had passed out, no one could seem to figure out what had caused it. Except for Tina of course, but she didn't understand why she had passed out, and for much longer than everyone else. Amare refused to talk about it and always changed his answer when she asked him. Ever since the incident she hadn't heard from Josh.

"Well done Tina." The unicorn said. "That is all for tonight."

Tina stretched her arms and yawned. "Yeah I really should get to bread--I mean bed! A bed made out of bread that would be nice."

"You get weird when your tired".

"No I just say things I think, this is the real me!" Tina said as she fist-bumped the air, stumbling as she lost her balance for a moment. "Oh god I am gonna be so sleepy in the morning."

"It's only midnight." Amare said, he looked up at the moon. "If you sleep in a little and have some coffee you should be wide awake tomorrow."

Tina fell face-first into her bowl of cereal.

"Uugh." Bob groaned. "Tina...Tina!" He shouted.

Tina gasped and jolted up. "WHA-oh." She calmed down realizing that there was no real emergency.

"Tina that's the third time this week, if you keep on doing this I'm banning you from eating cereal with milk...or giving you floaties or something." Bob said, looking at the Newspaper.

"Yeah Tina what are you going to do when you can't have cereal! It's part of every complete breakfast!" Gene said.

"I don't know...I like bagels I don't think you can drown in those."

"Tina Honey please go wash your face." Linda said handing Tina a dish cloth. "You look like a ghost."

"Yeah Tina you've been awfully sleepy lately." Louise said studying her, she leaned over across the table and looked Tina in the eye. "Why is that?"

"Uuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh". Tina looked around nervously. "All night fight- I mean all nighters, there's been allot of tests lately.

"Yeah sure." Louise said skeptically. "I'll find out what's really going on, in the meantime I recommend getting some sleep before Halloween night."

Halloween was only a few days away on Friday night, she would have almost forgotten about it if not for Louise constantly bugging her about going trick-or-treating.

"I'm a little old for Trick-or-Treating, so this year I thought I would just hand out candy."

"That's great Tina but I don't think were handing out candy this year, no one ever comes to our place and then Gene eat's it all." Bob said.
"Oh! Stella invited us to her Halloween party, I'll see if you can go!" Linda exclaimed exited.

"She's having a party?!" Tina was surprised and kinda annoyed at Stella she hadn't spoken to her in weeks only watching her through the window, she barely did anything but write. And it became very clear that the food in the bakery was being made by someone else.

"Oh and Louise you know what I found yesterday while going through all your old junk! That duck costume I made you! You can wear that!"

The duck costume was something Linda had made five years ago, it was two sizes to big for Louise even now, and was sewn like a quilt since Linda had made many mistakes while making it. The yellow felt material was dirty and it had an odd smell that no one could identify. Two eyes were sewn onto the hood of it, one bigger than the other. Every Halloween something 'happened' to the duck costume and no one could find it with Louise claiming she had no idea where it went.

"Uuuummm okay sounds great but no." Louise said. "I'm going as a rabbit."

The family seemed confused it wasn't like Louise to go as something so simple and tame.
"Aaaawww my little bunny baby is going as a rabbit! Too cute!" Linda said as she hugged Louise who tried to push her off.
"Ack! No MOM! NO HUGGING! WE TALKED ABOUT THIS!"
"So I'll ask what everyone's thinking why a rabbit?" Tina asked.
"It's probably a sexy rabbit." Gene said as he reached for the milk. "All Halloween costumes  are sexy now, sexy ketchup sexy Kermit the frog, sexy storm trooper." He listed off each one on his fingers.
"Sexy police officer." Tina added.
"No one's wearing a sexy costume!" Bob exclaimed. "Well except maybe Linda."
"NOT FAIR!" Gene yelled. "If I want to be a sexy flapper girl YOU CAN'T STOP ME!"
Louise groaned. "UUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHH! It's not a sexy costume! I recently read a book in English class that taught me how rabbit's are allot cooler than I thought."

"Louise you read a book? You never read books." Tina recalled how often Louise had payed her to read it for her.

"Read the book watched the movie what's the difference either way the rabbits get torn to shreds by a dog at the end. I'm going as one of the dead ones!"
The family continued talking about other things but Tina couldn't help but wonder what she would do this Halloween if she would do anything at all. Maybe she should go pay Stella a visit.

Nobody was paying attention to the small TV on the counter, nobody noticed a news story about a girl with long black hair, wearing pink and how she had been sighted multiple times.
