"TINA!" Louise yelled into Tina's ear, startling her and waking her up.
"GAH!" She sat upright in bed and reached for her glasses. "What! Is the house on fire? Did you rob a bank? Is it my birthday? I thought it was a few months away but I don't mind."
"To answer all your questions: no, maybe and no, were leaving for school. I guess your alarm clock didn't go off."
"Aah! I forgot to set it last night!" She threw off the blankets and jumped out of bed, then ran to the closet and began to look for her cloths. "You guys go ahead I'll catch up to you!"
"That's what we were going to do anyways but thanks, I guess." Louise disappeared downstairs while Tina looked around her room for her shoes, finally finding them under the bed. She grabbed her cellphone and was about to leave when she saw the plastic unicorn charm and remembered the pen. She glanced over her shoulder to the desk where she had left it. Something was telling her to bring it with, without thinking twice she grabbed it and stuffed it into her backpack. Then made a mad dash downstairs.

Linda and Bob watched Tina run by the restaurant window. "Why didn't you wake her up?" Linda asked him in a whiny voice.
"Tina's never late, and she's always up early I thought she was writing her fan-stories or whatever."
"It's called fan-fiction Bob...I think, or was it friend-fiction."

Tina ran as fast as she could to school hoping to catch up with Gene and Louise. 'They couldn't have gone that far!" She thought.
"Hey Tina."
Tina recognized that voice, it was Josh. The boy she had met as fresh-feed! Josh caught up to her and slowed down his bike so to go at the same speed as Tina.

"Hey Josh." Tina said in between breaths, she really didn't want to be late. "How have you been." Tina had once had a crush on Josh and still did but she might have blown it. "How have you been?"

"Okay, and you?"

"Great, but I'm going to be late in a few minutes."

Josh stopped pedaling and his bike came to a halt. "Jump on, I'll give you a lift."

Tina hoisted herself into onto the bike. Was this her second chance? "Thanks...so do you have school today?"

"Nah we got today off." Josh sped up, making Tina hold on tighter.

"Lucky! We got Monday off last week, so I guess everything evens out eventually."

"Heh, yeah. So how did you end up being late?"

"I'm not late yet." Tina said defensively. "My alarm clock didn't go off...I kinda forgot to set it, maybe." Tina pointed left. "Turn here." She told Josh, they were almost at the school. She had to speed things up. "So do you still dance?"

"Of course I still dance silly...kinda it's complicated." There was a hint of frustration in his voice. "I was put in charge of making a new routine for my class."

"That's great!" Tina attempted to clap her hands but almost fell off the bike, keeping them on Josh's shoulders.

Josh let out a long heavy sigh. "Not so great, it's for a competition and I haven't been able to come up with anything!"

"Oh I just went though something like that. Only without the time-limit, or pressure." She could see the school in the distance along with Gene and Tina walking into the building. "I'm sure you'll come up with something on time."

"That's actually why I'm out here, I was looking for inspiration." He stopped as they reached the school, the bell rang and a bunch of students headed inside.

Tina stumbled while getting off of the bike. "Josh I need to go but, if you want to look for inspiration after school, I could help you."

"I'm busy after school, but I'm free on Wednesday, maybe we could find it at a coffee shop...or something like that." He said nervously.
