Soo, yet again another movie I haven't seen. BUT, it's a thriller/horror. I'm not into horror. Not one tiny bit. My friend tried to convince me to watch 'Apartment 1303' but after cringing and hiding my eyes throughout the trailer just because the ghost girl looked so freakin' scary, I couldn't do it. We watched Warm Bodies instead, which was far less creepy. :) Here's the link, before I forget: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1687901/ AND once again a song from it is on your right. PLEASE listen to it while you're reading, even if it's only on softly. It always suits the chapter so well. (sometimes) and as a side note - I think the girl in the poster looks like Anthony from Sweeney Todd. :D (Wait, is that a guy or a girl? Mind you Anthony looked SO much like a girl it wasn't funny.) OK, enough chatter. :P
_____Stranger's POV____
"Can you be slower?" I glare down at Beefy. His breath comes in ragged pants as he walks up the plank.
"You're one to talk. You're not carrying 'precious cargo.'" He enunciates slowly. "And yer've not even done all the manual labour today."
"No, but I did all the hard work for you, so get up here now."
"What hard work?" A young boy comes running out to join them, standing on his tiptoes. "Is that the Princess? She's pretty. But so lifeless." He looks at the unconscious princess, slumped over Beefy's arms.
"You wouldn't be sayin' that if you saw 'er fight." Beefy grins.
"Keep yer hands to yerself, Arthur. She's the Captain's." Drake mounts the deck. "Where's Doc?"
"Where he usually is. In his cabin." Arthur pouts. "Can't she sleep in the cargo hole with me?"
"Get out of here." The Captain's scowl widens. Arthur nods playfully.
"If you need anyone to watch over her..."
"I mean it, Arthur." The Captain's voice holds warning.
Arthur raises his hands in surrender. "OK. Call me if you need me." He skips off before anyone can object.
"Beefy, take her to Doc."
"Aren't you coming?" Beefy's eyes widen. "After all, you did capture 'er."
"No. I'll be in my cabin if anything happens."
"What, like she dies?" Beefy puffs as he comes to a hard wooden door.
The Captain turns around with a slight frown. "Yes. That would be a big problem."
"Come in." An old man with greying hair opens the door.
"Behold, the Princess." Beefy smiles, still winded. Doc points to the bed in the corner, and shuffles over to his desk. "Will she be alright, Doc?" Beefy looks down at the lifeless form, sprawled on the bed.
"I suspect." Doc nods, hurrying about, pouring, tipping, humming slightly as he goes about his work. "The smoke is the strongest around. It renders the limbs and the mind useles - basically taking on the form of death, for a few hours at least. Once it completely wears off she should be fine."

The first thing that hits me when I drag my eyes open is the smell. Kind of like a distillery, a rum factory, and the cleaning devices the maids use.And then, I'm aware of about a dozen faces peering down at me, staring with curiosity written on their faces.
Immediately, I'm self-conscious. I try to sit up but any slight movement sends a shooting pain down my side.
"There love, it ain't so bad now is it?" I turn around to see an old man staring at me. Not like they're not all staring. Everything suddenly comes back in one crushing blow. Evangeline! The night before - mother - father and... Charles! I hope to God they've made it to safety. I could never live with myself if they were harmed - even though Father and I weren't exactly best friends. He's still my father after all. My whole body seems to throb with each rock of the ship. I feel so nautious and disoriented - worse than I've ever felt before. Figures. I've never been on a ship before.
