Chapter 10

It was a never a big problem for me. Never, but right now with the sweat and wall banging of my head's inner voices I realised something was wrong, very, very wrong.

Tossing my body, face down into the duvet covers were the only actions that seemed to expel the horrifying bolts of angst in me. It wasn't that I'd never felt a pain like this before because I had, but what made it that much more painful was that I had no clue what the origin of it was.

I was, to put it simply, a headless chicken, calling for more food. In this case a headless Jupiter, asking for this feeling to go away.

My god, what if my heart just suddenly gives out? What if, God forbid, I die here, right now in this moment? Jesus, I haven't gone to church since forever. I'm surely going to hell. What if I can't handle it? If I can't handle the scorching fires of the underworld, painfully melting my skin into a dewy chocolate mess under a pile of my bones. What about my soul? What if it just wandered around, being jumpy and on edge due to my unfinished business?

Fuck no, touch wood, touch wood right now. So I did, and I tapped the bedside table with my free hand.

A breath of relief left my mouth, as I brought my hand back to clutching my head.

If I did just die here now, Hays wouldn't be home till late so it'd probably be darling Ollie who has to find my body. I imagine the poor sweet soul of the boy will be forever traumatised.

I'd like to think he'd miss so so much, he'd visit my grave for hours a day for the first few weeks. I think too highly of myself, damn I am a vain bitch.

Good thing the room was silent or trying to silence my head would be next to impossible.

Cutting my concentration from the room's serenity, which was slowly, but surely aiding to relieve my headache: my phone started ringing.

"Urgh," the grunt escaped from my mouth as it reflected exactly how I felt about using the little energy I had to even reach for the damn device. Once I did feel it in my hand, buzzing away I answered it without looking with a mumbled, "hello?"

"Hey J," Harry said and my head lifted from the pillow.

"Harry? Hey, how are you?"

"I'm good, wanna hang out, at mine? Like only if y-you're not busy?" He asked and despite my headache, he managed to coax a laugh from my lips.

"Yeah, I'm not busy. Be there in 30."

"Bye J."

"Bye Harry," I said and the call ended. I could've been there in 15, given there's like no traffic around 1 pm, but I wanted some time to check on Ollie.

13:02, Juno: Where are you?

13:06, Ollie: On my way.

13:08, Juno: Pick yourself up some food, I didn't cook and I'm going out darling.

13:10, Ollie: Okay, dang have fun—whatever you're doing/gonna do. Bringing some friends over (:

13:12, Juno: Thanks and no vomit, please.

o.o.o

Knocking on the door, I took a step closer to his abode. The song of the ever nearing footsteps came to halt as the door unlocked and two arms pulled me to a chest.
