Perrie's Pov:
I gaped at the sight of the grey building in front of me. It looked almost identical to the one in American Horror Story and suddenly I felt intimidated. I parked my car in the small and vacant lot and walked up the stairs, leading into the ward. There were dead plants and shrubbery placed around the outskirts of the pathways and many dead trees that looked like the silhouette of monsters in the night. It looked like I was in my own personal nightmare.
I took a deep breath and pulled open the two doors but not before ringing the bell on the left side of the entrance, letting the workers know of my presence.
"Damnit." I cursed, as I got inside. I was starting to regret my decision of coming here as I observed my surroundings. The waiting room was huge but dingy. It looked like no one had cleaned the place in ages.
I walked up to the front desk and saw a lady in a white and red dress, facing the other way only making her backside visible.
"Hello?" I spoke, my voice sounding shrill and meek.
"No visitors are allowed until the morning." The lady spoke, without turning around. "The patients are sleeping. Show yourself out."
Her voice was hostile and was nowhere near mellifluous.
"No, I'm not here to visit someone." I said, my voice shaking.
The lady turned around, now facing me.
Her appearance matched her voice. She had her brown hair pinned back in a tight bun, and had minimum makeup on her face besides a bold bright red lip. She was very petite and had a strict look set on her face.
"If you're not visiting anyone, then why are you here?" She said, demand was evident in her voice.
"I'm here because I'm crazy and I want to be kept here until I'm normal and stable again." I replied, feeling belittled as she gazed at me.
She let out a insincere laugh and stopped, returning her face back into a strict position.
"Listen little girl, you seem nice. Why don't you run off to your house and play with your dolls. This ain't a place for people like you." She said, and took a seat on her revolving chair so only her forehead was visible now.
"This is a place for people like me because I'm crazy." I said, raising my voice. "My boyfriend broke up with me because I'm crazy. My friends think I'm crazy. Heck I–"
The lady held up her hands causing me to capitulate.
"I don't need your life story. You're not crazy, you're just facing reality." She said, standing up from her chair. "Friends are overrated, you don't need them and as for your boyfriend, well all boys are the same. They just play with your heart and then leave you. Those damn boys."
"But-" I tried but she interjected.
"Let me give you a bit of advice. Go home. Get therapy or something but trust me, you don't level up to the criminals here. They've killed their families, Shot down schools, and done far worse. You don't belong here. Now, please show yourself out."
I submitted, and quickly exited the building.
She's right.... Friends are overreacted and boys suck. I don't need Jade, or Jesy, or Leigh. And I sure as hell don't need Zayn.
