"Aww, look at the little brown monkey with her banana!" Chelsea said as she walked on the bus. I looked at my brown sweater and then the ground. I tried to finish my banana, but Chelsea just laughed.
"You know what?" My best friend, Elise Barrens, growled. "I think Brittany is done with her banana." She took the last piece of my banana, still in the banana peel, and threw it at Chelsea. It smeared all over her new blouse, and then fell to the floor. "Oops." Elise said. "Sorry! I thought you were the garbage can. You sure smell like it." She smirked at her.
Chelsea screamed and her face turned red with anger. She took a step toward us, but the bus jerked forward, and she fell into the seat in front of us.
Austin Rhodes' seat.
MY CRUSH'S SEAT!
"Oh hi," She giggled. "My name's Chelsea Connors."
"I'm Austin," he said. Chelsea quickly scooted off his lap into the seat by the window.
Ugh. Great. FANTASTIC. Now Chelsea is hitting on my crush. Great way to start my second day of school.
"Thanks to you, I now have three problems. One, I didn't finish my breakfast, two, Chelsea is going to kill us, and three..." I whispered at this part, "...Chelsea likes my crush."
"Okay, first of all, somebody needed to get Chelsea once and for all," Elise said. "And two, I don't think Austin likes her back."
"Oh yeah? Why don't you look," I said. I peeked over, and sure enough, they were laughing.
Sigh.
The bus stopped in front of my new high school, Riverside High, and I walked out, hoping today won't be that bad.
