Chelsea is the most popular girl at Riverside High. Everyone knows that. And she's also very mean. Not a lot of people know that.
Chelsea and I became friends in fifth grade. Every day I would wear a shirt and jeans, when all the popular girls would wear sparkly shirts and skirts. Oh yeah, did I mention, I hate skirts! So the popular girls would make fun of me because I didn't wear them. I wore jeans. Because I LOVE jeans. But I didn't like to be made fun of, and I wanted to be popular, so I decided to start wearing what the popular girls wore. They didn't make fun of me anymore, and they became my friends. But Chelsea was the most popular girl, as always, which also meant she was the meanest. I tried to be nice to her so that she wouldn't kick me out of the popular group. I kept doing that, and even though she was a little mean to me, I didn't want to be kicked out. So now, I guess I'm still "friends" with her, but only because of that reason.
