Brittany walked into the room just before her name was about to be called for attendance.

"There you are, Brittany. If you were here any later your name would have been called and you would have been late for class," Mrs. Wilson said, shaking her head.

"Sorry, I was talking to my friend. It won't happen again," Brittany said.

"Alright. Go sit down, Miss Greene."

Brittany sat down next to me. I wonder if she was talking to Emily. Probably.

Wait, wasn't Emily popular? Oh yeah, she left Chelsea. The news is all over the school, including my break up with Chelsea. I broke up with her because she just wasn't a nice girlfriend. At first she seemed all sweet and stuff when we met, but now she's......different. Not nice, not sweet. And all she talks about is makeup and going to the mall, in fact, she asked me if I wanted to come to the mall with her. What boy wants to go to the mall?

Plus, I think I have feelings for someone else. Just a little bit.

The teacher goes on with attendance and starts talking about the lesson.

Wait. Am I staring at Brittany? I quickly look back at the teacher.

Out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw her staring at me too. But I could be wrong.

I tried to focus on the lesson. Mrs. Wilson came around with bottles of green liquid, measuring cups, safety goggles, white jackets (so our clothes won't get stains) and white gloves.

"One person, please pick up the bottle of green liquid and pour 1/2 of a cup into the measuring cup,"the teacher said. We both accidentally grabbed the bottle at the same time. We didn't realize it until our hands touched. I looked at her. She looked at me. We laughed sheepishly and she looked away.

Why am I acting so weird?

I grabbed it and poured some liquid in, still looking at Brittany. She then turned around and I quickly looked away.

"Umm, I think that's a little too much," she giggled.

I looked at the cup. I poured in 1 cup, not 1/2 of a cup. Gosh, I'm an idiot. "Oh, right." I poured the other half in and listened for the next instructions.

But I was still thinking, what's happening to me?
