Sunny walked down the halls of jade mountain with a bright smile on her face. Her talons clicking against the ground, tail swishing behind her. She was happy, even though there wasn't to much to be happy about.
Six students at jade mountain academy were out in the world doing who knows what. But Sunny saw how it was affecting her friends and had to stay positive, no matter how wrong it felt to be happy right now.
Her friends were constantly worrying about what might have happened to them, well what might be happening to them now.
Peril, a Skywing with fire scales had only recently gone missing. They suspected it was in search of the 4, Moon, Qibli, Winter, and Kinkajou, who gone missing about a week or so earlier, but that wouldn't make much sense considering they now knew their condition and where they were.
So maybe she had gone to find Queen Scarlet. Which worried Sunny. Sure, Peril wasn't her favorite dragon in the world, but that didn't matter. It was still a life in danger, and she could tell that Clay cared about her even if not to the point that he loved her.
It also appeared that Peril took Turtle, Tsunami's brother and the only one still at the academy from The Jade winglet who's other members were now far away on a journey. Well except that Umber, Clay's brother. Which was a good thing, Clay was already worried enough.
Sunny stopped for a moment to take a break from thinking and putting herself back into reality. She slowed her pace, as she had noticed while walking, she had quickened her step quite a bit.
Maybe she could check on Starflight? Surely that wasn't a bad idea. She hadn't talked to him in while, so maybe he'd appreciate the company. She headed down the narrow hall to the library, hearing her own claws scraping against the floor and two voices in the distance.
She turned towards the library's entrance, which she had to admit, came up quite abruptly. She could see Starflight slumped in a corner as Clay sat next to him whispering something. Clay quickly turned his head to face her with a look of surprise. "Oh- Uh- Hi."He whispered, a tinge of nervousness clearly ebbing his words.
"WHAT? Who's there?! Clay who are you talking to?" Starflight shouted pinning himself against the wall, his tail lashed a little, nearly knocking over a stack of scrolls that sat behind him.
Sunny took a step back surprised at the reaction. Why is he so frightened? She thought to herself. Which maybe wasn't the right question, Starflight was frightened often. He regained his composure, standing on all four talons, before lifting his head, ears twitching. Then without warning, he suddenly burst out again. "I recognize that foot step sound! Sunny what are you doing here?"
