Sunny sat at the entrance of Jade Mt. staring at the sky. Today it was a brilliant blue and she couldn't see clouds for miles. The air blew around softly making a light whistling sound in her ears. As she looked around she felt peace. After all the commotion that had been going on it was a relief to have a day where she could just rest.
She hadn't seen anyone today, in fact she had immediately left her room when she woke up. Not seeing anyone also meant she hadn't run into anyone, which was also a plus.
She would have to go back inside eventually to get some food to eat but she was going to wait awhile. She sat there tapping her claws on the rocky surface breathing in the air.
After a while she became bored. She had been sitting out here all alone for a while, she would've gone in inside if it weren't for the fact that seeing someone she didn't want to see was highly likely at the moment.
It was about midday when Sunny decided she needed to get something to eat. It was about time for everyone to get out of morning classes, so she probably wouldn't have to socialize with anyone because any one who actually wanted to talk would have trouble finding her.
Sunny went back through the entrance to the school. As she walked down the hallways she could faintly hear classes going on in the distance. She rounded the corner to got to the prey center when she heard a flood of stomping coming from behind.
Dragons surged through the hallway hissing and growling at each other and shoving. Dragons shoved past Sunny nearly causing her to fall over, but after a minute a crowd had developed in front of Sunny waiting for her to move out of the way.
She moved closer to the right wall and the dragons hurried past into the prey center. When they were gone she followed slowly behind them grateful she hadn't gotten hurt.
Before stepping in she peeked her head into the prey center. Clay was currently dealing with a Sandwing and a Skywing fighting over a Goat. She looked over to the fruit pile and saw some Rainwings munching on papayas, with a large stack of mangoes piles next to them.
She opened her wings and swooped over the crowd to the fruit pile. She took a mango and was about to leave when she saw a small mouse as well. She scooped it up and headed for the door.
She quickly flew through the halls trying to find her way back to the entrance. Though she had been through them many times before, even now the turns she needed to take got confusing.
She sat at one pass for a moment pondering if she should go right, left, or ahead. In the end she took the right. The halls did not get any brighter, so she suspected she went the wrong way, but wanted to make sure. Around one corner she saw a faded shadow of light on the wall, she quickly headed towards it.
She rounded the corner and stepped back surprised. "AHHH!" She shouted then quickly covered her mouth with one claw.
A small flickering candle was on the wall illuminating the library. Starflight stood in front of his desk, a scroll in one claw and 5 others laying on the floor. "Sunny?" He said still a little startled.
Sunny laughed nervously. "Uh yeah..." She almost slapped herself when she felt her face becoming warm.
"Um-um." Starflight stuttered "What are you doing here?" He began to pick up his scrolls.
"Heh heh...." Sunny looked away. "I didn't mean to come here I must have took a wrong turn....heh heh...."
Starflight looked puzzled for a moment then said his voice quivering "Hey may I ask you a-"
"Oh well better get going! BYE!" Sunny shouted interrupting him. She fled down the hall away from the library. She twisted and turned through the halls extremely relieved when she found outside again.
She walked outside and slammed her face on the ground. "UHHHH...." She moaned. "Why am I so stupid?" She lifted her head and put her claws over her eyes. "I should've known it was the library."
She rolled over onto her back and stared at the sky, her food rolling out of her claws on to the rocky surface of the mountain. She could've laughed herself at how stupid she'd been.
She jumped and squeaked when she heard light footsteps. "MEEP!" She began to panic as she heard them coming closer.
Suddenly a large shadow appeared on one of the walls of mountain entrance. Sunny had to keep herself from screaming when dark blue claws rounded the corner. It was Tsunami, and what's worst, with her tail rapped around it, she had a letter from Starflight.
