Sunny dashed through the halls, trying to get back to her room as soon as possible. She needed to lay down, sleep, and even just for a night forget that any of today ever happened.

Her throat began to feel sore from her harsh breathing but she kept running anyway.

She nearly tripped over her own claws a couple times. It seemed to be taking longer then it should've to get to her room.

Suddenly as Sunny raced down the hallway, she heard soft sobbing coming from one of the rooms.

Odd. She thought to herself. Everyone should be in class. She forgot about getting to her room for a moment, and knocked on the door.

For a minute no one came, and the crying only continued. "Hello?" She said trying to get the dragon inside's attention.

The crying slowed, then became sniffling. She heard hard footsteps coming towards the door. It creaked open loudly and Clay stepped out of his room.

He used one claw to wipe his eyes then looked up. Sunny cocked her head to the side worriedly."Clay? Why are you crying? Are you okay?" She asked.

He took in a deep breath and answered half-heartedly . "I'm fine."

Sunny couldn't help but start to feel very sad. As Clay being one of her best friends, she had to try and make him feel better. "Clay what's wrong? Cause I know you're not fine."

Clay sighed. "Sunny, it's nothing you need to be worried about." He looked at the ground and back up at her. "You probably have enough problems."

"Clay..." Sunny said. "Any problems my friends have ARE my problems."

Clay shook his head. "I really don't want to talk about it." He took a step back into his room. "I don't want to be rude, but could you please go?"

Sunny sighed, she was about to leave, but decided she needed to talk to him more. She tapped her claws for a moment thinking what could be wrong. She took a deep breath then asked him. "Is it Peril?"

Clay took another step back and looked up. "Why would you think that?"

Sunny looked at him. "Clay, we know you guys must have something going on."

Clay looked at the ground and shook his head. Sweat starting to build up on his forehead. "I-I already told Starflight this. It-it's not like that. His eyes darted all over "We're just close friends. Can we, please not talk about this anymore."

Sunny rolled her eyes a bit at his skittishness. She thought if it was true he would've been more upfront. "Sure." She replied trying to give a smile.

Suddenly Sunny remembered what she was doing. "I uh...." She  looked down the hall. "Gotta go! Bye Clay!" She dashed down the hall. She could hear the slam of Clay's door behind her.

Sunny barreled through her bedroom door and locked it behind her. She sighed with relief laying in her bed. Soon enough, she was fast asleep.
