bonfire

The heat of the flames engulfed me & warmed my skin. The sounds of the ocean are a blur in the background, & seems to be singing a soft melody. Surrounding the bonfire, we decide to tell stories. Belle told the story about the time she was walking around in the mall & saw a 10/10. So she was gonna take a sly pic of him & send it to me & Lorelei... but then realized she had her flash on. (face-palm) Then we turned to Lorelei & she was telling us about meeting Drake, the security guard. At the moment he went to go buy more drinks bc we we're running low. "So we flirted & all that, & I then asked him how old he was," Lorelei snicker a bit but continued, "He said 20, & then asked me the same question. So I said HONEY IF YOUR 20 IM 20!!!!" We all started cracking up laughing, just as Drake walked up. "What's so funny?" Then we all look at Lorelei, "Uhhh nothin' sugar lips, now throw me a Mike's or imma throw your ass in the ocean." Once again the laughter returns. That girl is straight up crazy, but I love her. Then it was Jaycob's turn, "Okay okay, so one time I was at Walmart, & me & my buddy were running around the place, messing around & causing trouble. So then we had a store clerk chase us around the entire store, until we went into the ladies section. We put on a bunch of women's clothes & then the clerk dude came over & grabbed me by the arm. I fell on the floor & started spouting off saying, "OMFG RAPE RAPE RAPE OH LORD HELP MEH HELLLPPPP MEH IVE BEEN ABUSED WHERE IS THE STORE MANAGER UH OML MEN NOWADAYS GOOD HEAVENS!!" He then turned pale white & tried helping me up saying he was so sorry & that he was mistaken & blah blah blah. But that's how I ended up getting a lifetime of free shit from there. So I just walk in grab what I want & leave." He was laughing so hard while telling this but also had a smirk on his face like bam. We all thought this was hilarious. He then looked at me & smiled big. "I like your laugh." My face dropped & I looked away blushing like crazy. Why did he have such a big effect on me?

As the night went on we had a share of laughs, & a good time. I never felt so happy in my life. Who knew that leaving home would of opened up my options & gave me a lifestyle I enjoy. No one should have to be cooped up in one place & never have the freedom to go places & see the world. Bc this right here feels right. This feels like a place I can call home. In the hearts of all these people, I found somewhere I belong. I then got up & started walking down the beach's shore, looking at the ocean & the moon high in the sky. I took a deep inhale & took in all the good vibes. The night air seems to have this effect on me like a drug would. It gets my adrenaline pumping & my heart racing & my mind at peace. While taking in the view, I hear footsteps in my direction, so I turn & see Jaycob. "Hey," he stuffed his hands into his pockets, with a grin. "Hi," I murmur back returning the smile. "I love the ocean, it seems like such a peaceful place to just think about everything," Jaycob said looking out at the tide. "Yeah, I wish I could just live right on the beach. Get to wake up to seagulls calling & the roaring tides; then go to sleep to a peaceful roll of the waves." I close my eyes & smell the salty air, I loved it.

We sat there in silence for a while, but then he broke it, "Do you believe in love at first sight?" Jaycob said keeping his gaze out to the horizon. I sat there thought about it momentarily, "depends," I followed his gaze. I felt his eyes on me, "on what?" He replied. I turn to look at him, I gaze into his now more hazel eyes & see a forest of hope, so beautiful it could cure cancer. Those eyes told me things I knew he wouldn't have the courage to say. But I took a deep breath & let it out, "you." He stopped what he was doing completely & stepped closer to me. I could feel his body heat radiate off of his body, I could smell his cologne, & his heart beating at an unusual pace. He got so close to me, our bodies were pressed together close, & he put a hand on my cheek, rubbing circles with his thumb. He slowly leaned in, closing his eyes to reveal his long black eyelashes. I felt myself lean in too, wanting to feel his lips against mine. Our lips brushed against each other, but then found their way. His lips perfectly fit with mine, like a puzzle piece, like they were meant just for me.. We let our mouths guide the way, freeing our minds of any directions. His lips were smooth, & soft, so full, I craved him more & more. He finally pulled away, his eyes seeming to sparkle with joy. I assumed mine were too bc he then kissed my forehead. I closed my eyes & embraced his warmth. He held me close & didn't seem to want to let go. I was fine with that, bc every guy so far has always let go... let me slip away. But Jaycob was different, I could tell from the beginning. & I liked that. I liked that a lot.
