Chapter 11

Today Harry gets Quidditch Practice. Harry goes with Oliver for Qudditch Practice. Hermione, Ron, and I sit on Qudditch field. I see Gryffindor team walk into the field. Then on the other side, I see Slytherin team come to the field. I see Oliver argue with the Slytherin team captain.
 
“ Uh-oh. I smell trouble,” said Ron.
“Let’s go see it,” Hermione said.
 “I, Professor Severus Snape, do hereby give the Slytherin team permission to practice today, owing to the need to train their new Seeker.” You’ve got a new Seeker. Who?” said Oliver.
Then Malfoy comes.
“ Malfoy?” Harry asked
“ That’s right. And that’s not all that new this year,” said Malfoy and point at his broom
“ Those are Nimbus Two Thousand and Ones! How did you get those?” asked Ron shocked.
“ A gift from Draco’s father,” said Flint
“ You see Weasley, unlike some, my father can afford the best,” said Malfoy
“Why you always bring trouble when you walk in?” I asked. Malfoy is really annoying.
“Shut up Peter,” Malfoy said.
“ At least no one on the Gryffindor team had to buy their way in. They got it on pure talent,” said Hermione
“ No one asked your opinion, you filthy little Mudblood!” said Malfoy. I don’t know what it’s mean, but I’m pretty sure means really bad. Because Fred, George, and Oliver like want to punch Malfoy in the face.
“ You’ll pay for that one, Malfoy. Eat slugs!” said Ron. But because Ron’s wand is broken, the spell doesn’t work very well and it hit Ron. Slytherin is laughing at Ron
“You okay, Ron?” Hermione said
“ Say something!” I said. But Ron spit out a snail from his mouth
“Wow! Can you turn him around, Harry?” said Colin suddenly come and took the picture.
“ No, Colin! Get out of the way! Let’s take him to Hagrid’s,” Harry said
“ He’ll know what to do,” I said.
 
Then, we go to Hagrid huts and Hagrid gives Ron a big bucket
“Wo, this calls for a specialist’s equipment. Nothin’ to do but wait’ll it stops, I’m afraid,” said Hagrid.
Ron keep spitting the snail.
“ Ah! Oh... Okay,” said Harry
“ Better out than in. Who’s Ron tryin’ to curse, anyway?” said Hagrid
“ Malfoy. He called Hermione, ...um, well, I don’t- I don’t know exactly what it means,” said Harry.
“ He called me a Mudblood,” said Hermione and she almost crying
“ He did not!” said Hagrid shocked
“ What’s a Mudblood?” I asked
“ It means “dirty blood.” Mudblood’s a really foul name for someone who is Muggle-born. Someone with non-magic parents. Someone like me. It’s not a term one usually hears in civilized conversation,” said Hermione
“ See, the thing is, Harry,Fanny, there’re some wizards, like the Malfoy family, who think they’re better’n everyone else because they’re what people call “pure blood.” Said Hagrid
“ That’s horrible!” I said
“ It’s disgusting,” said Ron.
“ And it’s codswallop, to boot. “Dirty blood.” Why, there isn’t a wizard alive today that’s not half blood or less,” said Hagrid
“ More to the point, they’ve yet to think of a spell that our Hermione can’t do,” I smiled at Hermione
“Come here... Don’t you think on it, Hermione. Don’t you think on it for one minute... eh?” Hagrid said and hug Hermione. Finally Hermione laughed
“How long do you think Ron still gonna spit the snail?” I asked to Hagrid.
“Just for a few more hours, I think they’ll stop,” Hagrid said.
 
After waiting Ron finishes spit all the big snail. We finally get back to the castle. Now, Ron just spit a little snail.
“Oh, I almost forgot,” Harry said.
“What?” I asked.
“Ron and I suppose to have our detention tonight, see you later at the common room. C’mon Ron,” Harry said and go with Ron.
“Good luck,” Hermione and I said.
And suddenly Ginny come out from the common room.
“Hi Ginny,” Hermione said but Ginny keep walking and walking like she’s not see us there.
“That’s odd,” I said.
“So, I hear that Ginny and Colin start Harry’s fan club,” Hermione said.
“What?” I asked confused. “Why she does that? Ginny likes Harry right, I don’t think that’s the right way to catch Harry’s attention.”
“So the right way is to keep the feeling by yourself, like you do?” Hermione said it sarcastically.
“No, who says that I like Harry that way, he’s just a friend, same like you and Ron,” I denied it.
“Yeah right,” Hermione smirked at me.
“Don’t look at me like that,” I said. “C’mon just do our homework then.”
 
Then Hermione and I do our homework. Suddenly Ron comes into the common room.
“Hi Ron,” I said. “You don’t look so good.”
“Yeah, try to smile after you clean all the stupid awards that this school got with usual tools, no magic. I spit a snail at one of the awards and I have to clean that about 50 times,”said Ron.
“Sorry,” I said. “But it’s better than you ask to mop a lawn.”
“You do that?” Ron asked.
“Yeah, the Dursley asks Harry to mop a lawn. He didn’t tell you that?” I asked.
“Yeah, the Dursley is the most weird muggle than I’ve ever know. I meet Hermione’s parents once, they seems normal,” Ron said.
“Speaking of Harry, where is he?” Hermione asked.
“I don’t know. We got separated detention. He got detention with Lockhart,” Ron explained.
“Lucky..” Hermione said.
“Detention is lucky?” I asked.
“Not the detention, the Lockhart part,” Hermione said.
“C’mon let’s go to the great hall for dinner. I’m starving,” Ron said.
“When you’ll never starve Ron,” I said.
 
 
On our way to the common room after we eat dinner at the Great Hall, we bummed into Harry.
“ Harry!” Hermione said.
“ Did you hear it?” asked Harry.
“ Hear what?” Ron asked.
“ That voice,” Harry said
“ Voice? What voice?” Hermione asked
“ I heard it first in Lockhart’s office. And then again just—“ Harry said. “It’s moving. I think it’s going to kill.”
“ Kill?” I asked. Then Harry Run
“ Harry, wait! Not so fast!” Hermione said while we follow Harry that’s running. We arrive at the corridor and see so many spider crawl.
 
“Strange. I’ve never seen spiders act like that,” said Harry
“ I don’t like spiders...” Ron said while take a step back
 “What’s that? The writing on the wall?” I asked
“ ‘The Chamber of Secrets has been opened... enemies the heir... beware.’ It’s written in blood,” Hermione said
“ Oh, no... It’s Filch’s cat. It’s Mrs. Norris,” Harry said while getting closer to Mrs. Norris.
“Harry, don’t!” I whispered
“ ‘Enemies of the heir beware!’ You’ll be next, Mudbloods!” said Malfoy and pointed into Hermione.
“ What’s going on ‘ere? Go on, make way, make way. Potter-- What are you...Mrs. Norris? You’ve...murdered my cat,” Filch said and point into Harry.
“ No. No,” Harry shrug his head
“ I’ll kill ya... I’ll kill ya!” Filch said and he likes want to strangle Harry.
“ Argus! Argus, I... Everyone will proceed to their dormitories immediately. Everyone except... you four,” Dumbledore said.
 
Then all the students go back to their own common room.
“ She’s not dead, Argus. She has been Petrified,” said Dumbledore.
“ Ah, thought so. So unlucky I wasn’t there. I know exactly the counter curse that could have spared her,” said Lockhart. Why this guy always showed off.
“ But how she has been Petrified, I cannot say...” Dumbledore said.
“ Ask him. It’s him who’s done it. You saw what he wrote on the wall,” Filch said.
“ It’s not true sir, I swear. I never touched Mrs. Norris,” Harry said
“ Rubbish!” Filch said.
“ If I might, Headmaster? Perhaps Potter and his friends were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. However, the circumstances are suspicious. I, for one, don’t recall seeing Potter at dinner,” said Snape.
“ I’m afraid that’s my doing, Severus. You see, Harry was helping me answer my fan mail,” said Lockhart.
“ That’s why Hermione, Ron and I went looking for him, Professor. We’d just found him when he said...” I said
“ Yes, Miss Peter?” asked Snape.
“ When I said I wasn’t hungry,” said Harry.
“We were heading back to the common room when we found Mrs. Norris,” said Hermione. Snape seems doesn’t believe us.
“ Innocent until proven guilty, Severus,” said Dumbledore
“ My cat has been Petrified. I wanna see some punishment!” said Filch
“ We will be able to cure her, Argus. As I understand it, Madame Sprout has a very healthy growth of Mandrakes. When matured, a potion will be made which will revive Mrs. Norris. And in the meantime, I strongly recommend caution... to all,” said Dumbledore.
