Chapter 54

FANNY’S POV

I put my clothes into the trunks. Today is the day we go back to Hogwarts. I’m kinda sad and happy. I like it in here. In this place, I don’t have to be aware with the evil person. And out there, it’s just I think I had a bad feeling about this. Suddenly my bedroom door is open. I look up and see Harry comes in.

“Hi,” Harry smiled.

“Hi,” I smiled.

“How’re you feeling?” Harry asked.

“Good and bad at the same time. So it just like usual,” I said.

“Good,” Harry said.

“Yeah, good,” I said. Why it suddenly feels very awkward?

“What are you doing here?” I asked. “Not like I don’t want you to be here but why? You supposed to pack?”

“I just wanna say that..” Harry wanted to say something but suddenly the door is open.

Sirius enters the room.

“Harry, I was looking for you. And Hermione said that you’re here, I’ve got something might interest you,” said Sirius.

Harry looks up. Sirius sits on the edge of the bed and bandishes an old, tattered photo

“What is that?” I asked.

“Tis was the original Order of the Phoenix. Found it while we were cleaning,” said Sirius.

Harry looks down at all the smiling faces.

“There’s Mad Eye and Dumbledore, right next to Dedalus Diggle, Marlene McKinnon, she was killed two weeks after this was taken, then there’s Frank and Alice Longbottom, tortured into insanity by Death Eaters, Lupin, and of course Edgar Bones, they only ever found bits of him, Caradoc Dearborn, he vanished six months later, Hagrid of course, Gideon and Fabian Prewett, it took five Death Eaters to finish those two off, me of course and there they are!” said Sirius.

“My parents,” said Harry.

He watches the picture for  a long second.

“I miss them Sirius,” said Harry.

“I know Harry, I know. I miss them too,” said Sirius.

He puts his arm around Harry.

“It’s not fair that I got to spend so much time with them and you didn’t..,” said Sirius.

Harry closes his eyes.

“Why’d they have to die?” Harry asked

“I don’t know Harry,” I said. “I wish I did, but I don’t.”

There is a long moment of silence.

“I know I’m not your father Harry, but I’ll always be there for you if I can help it...” said Sirius.

“Thank’s,” said Harry.

Sirius gets up and exists. Ron and Hermione burst into the room seconds later.

“Harry, Fanny, Ron and I have been named House Perfects!” said Hermione.

She hands Harry a letter. There a few seconds of parchment ripping.

“What about you Harry?” asked Hermione.

But there is no perfect badge in Harry’s letter. He shakes his head.

“Are you sure? I would have though you wold get one!” said Hermione

“I’m sure. Nothing,” said Harry.

There is an awkward moment.

“Who cares about the Prefects?” said Ron.

“Yeah, remember, you still have me. I don’t get it either,” I try to fix the awkward situation.

“So, congratulations Ron, Hermione,” Harry finally talked.

“Well, thank’s Harry,” said Hermione.

“Come on lets go back downstairs,” said Ron. “We should get going.”

The Hogwarts Express rushes past the moors of Scotland on its way to Hogwarts. Soon it is night again. Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, and me exit the Hogwarts Express and move quickly though the crowd of students to the carriages that would take them to the castle. As they prepare to climb into one of the carriages, Harry stops and stares towards the front of the carriage.

“What is that?” Harry asked

“What?” I asked

“That... that.. thing,” Harry pointed at the empty air.

Ron startes for a long moment then looks at Harry.

“Harry, there’s nothing there, mate,” said Ron.

“Yes it is, it’s right there!” said Hary.

“I see them too, Harry,”said someone.

We turn to her. There is a spacy looking girl, yet pretty in her own right.

“Er.. you are?” asked Harry.

“Luna. Luna Lovegood,” said Luna.

“Well thank’s Luna,” said Harry.

We climb into the carriage, Luna following. It starts moving. I notice that Ron still glances at Luna, who has vanished behind the latest edition of the Quibbler Magazine.

“What are she reading?” Ron whispered at me.

“I don’t know. It looks interesting,” I try to be polite.

“Oh little miss Fanny, alway try to be nice,” Harry smirked.

“Stop that,” I whispered at Harry.

Moments later the carriage halt, we enter the castle. Hogwarts at last...
