Chapter 15

“Have you spoken to Hermione?” asked Ron
“ She should be out of hospital in a few days, when she stops coughing up fur balls... ,” Harry said.
“What’s this?” I asked when we see the flooded corridor. And we run to the source of the water. And we come to the girl’s toilet
“ Yuck!” said Ron.
“ Looks like Moaning Myrtle’s flooded the bathroom,” Harry said.
“ Oooh, oooh, ooooh, huh– huh. Come to throw something else at me?” said Myrtle
“ Why would I throw something at you?” I asked.
“ Don’t ask me! Here I am, minding my own business, and someone thinks it’s funny to throw a book at me,” said Myrtle and point at the black book.
“The book looks familiar,” I whispered and picked it up
“ But, it can’t hurt if someone throws something at you. I mean, it’ll just go right through you,” said Ron and I glared at him
“ Sure! Let’s all throw books at Myrtle because she can’t feel it! Ten points if you get through her stomach! Fifty points if it goes through her head!” said Myrtle.
“C’mon Ron, throw it at her head. You get 50 points,” I said sarcastically while offer him the book.
“ But, who threw it at you, anyway?” Harry asked and take the book from me.
“ I don’t know, I didn’t see them. I was just sitting in the U-bend thinking about death - aah - and it fell through the top of my head. Uh-huh. Whoo-oooh-whoooo...” said Myrtle.
“C’mon just go to the common room,” said Harry and we go to the common room.
 
On our way to the common room. I see Ginny is walking around by herself. She look terrified.
“Hi Ginny!” I said.
“Hi,” Ginny said and she looks at Harry’s book and I think she’s kinda scared.
“Are you ok?” I asked.
“Yeah, I’m ok,” Ginny said and started to walk very hurry
“That’s odd,” said Ron
 
The next day, we just walking around at Hogwarts and Harry comes with crazy explanation
“It was Hagrid. Hagrid opened the Chanter of Secrets fifty years ago,” said Harry.
“What? That’s crazy,” I said and Harry begin to explain his theory about this.
“ It can’t be Hagrid. It just can’t be,” said Hermione
“ We don’t even know this Tom Riddle. He sounds like a dirty, rotten snitch to me,” said Ron
“ The monster had killed somebody, Ron. What would any of us have done?” said Harry
“ Look. Hagrid’s our friend. Why don’t we just go and ask him about it?” said Hermione.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” I said.
“ That’ll be a cheerful visit! “Hello, Hagrid! Tell us, have you been setting anything mad and hairy loose in the castle lately?” said Ron sarcastically.
“ Mad and hairy? You wouldn’t be talking about me now, would ya?” said Hagrid suddenly appears behind us
“ No!” we said together
“ W- what’s that you’ve got, Hagrid?” asked Harry
“ Oh, It’s a- Flesh-Eatin’ Slug Repellent. For the Mandrakes, ya know. Now, accordin’ to Professor Sprout, they’ve still got a bit o’ growing up to do. But, once their acne’s cleared up, we’ll be able to chop ‘em up and stew ‘em, and then we’ll get those people down at the hospital un-Petrified. In the meantime, though, you three had best be lookin’ after yourselves. All right? Hmm.” Said Hagrid and suddenly Neville comes and looks like he’s out of breathe
“ Hello, Neville!” said Hagrid
“ Harry- I don’t know who did it, but you’d better come! Come on!” said Neville. And all of them go with Neville while I was thinking about something. I need to go to the library.
“Fanny, where are you going?” asked Hermione
“I have to do something. See you later at Quidditch,” I said and run to the library.
 
HERMIONE POV
 
We arrive at boys dormitory. And I see Harry’s stuff is really all over the place.
“ It had to be a Gryffindor. Nobody else knows our password- unless it wasn’t a student,” said Hermione
“ Who ever it was, they must have been looking for something,” said Ron
“ And they found it. Tom Riddle’s diary is gone,” said Harry.
“Harry, don’t worry about the book,” said Ron. “You have to get ready for Quidditch.”
“Yeah right,” Harry said. “Hermione, where are you going?”
“I need to get Fanny,” I said and run into the library.
 
FANNY’S POV
 
I think I’ve read something that make senses about this creature. I go to the corner of the library and try to search the book. Where is it? Where is it? I open the book that I think is the right one and tear the page. But I accidently drop the book, I come to pick it up and see a pair of eyes in the mirror and all I know is that everything suddenly black.
 
HERMIONE’S POV
 
I go to the library to find Fanny. And I see her lying down. She’s been petrified. I grab the page that I think she tore it, I read it. Of course! It’s the monster. I pull my mirror, just in case that think come around and I go to Professor McGonagall to tell about Fanny. And from the corner of my mirror, I see the pair of eyes, and all I know is that everything was black
HARRY’S POV
 
“Alright, listen up. We play our game, Hufflepuff doesn’t stand a chance. We’re stronger, quicker and smarter,” said Wood
“ And not to mention, they’re dead scared that Harry’ll Petrify them if they fly anywhere near him,” said Fred
“ Well, that too. Professor McGonagall,” Wood said and Professor McGonagall come.
“ This match has been cancelled,” said McGonagall
“ We can’t cancel Quidditch,” said Wood
“ Silence, Wood. You and your teammates will go to Gryffindor Tower, now. Potter, you and I will find Mr. Weasley. There’s something the both of you have to see,” said McGonagall and I follow her.
And we head into Hospital Wing.
 
“I warn you, this could be a wee bit of a shock,” said McGonagall
“ Hermione!” said Ron.
“And another one,” said McGonagall and she opens the curtain near Hermione.
“Fanny,” I whispered and see her lying down. She’s been petrified too.
“ She was found near the Library, and Hermione was found near the library entrance, along with this,” said McGonagall and grab the mirror. “Does it mean anything to either of you?”
“ No” said Harry
 
FANNY’S POV
 
All I know that inside this body. I can’t hear anyone, I can’t see anything. I can’t speak. And now, suddenly my body can move again. I see Hermione beside me. Madam Pomfrey still give her the potion. And she awakes too.
“Hermione,” I smiled.
“Fanny,” Hermione said and hug me tightly. “You’re back.”
“So do you,” I said.
“Why don’t you tell me when you found out about basilisk?” asked Hermione. “I was so scared when I see you lying down on the floor. I thought you’re dead.”
“I don’t really remember about it, and when I’m on my way to tell you, I just see his eyes on the mirror, and everything just went black,” I said.
“C’mon just go to the great hall. We need to suprise Harry and Ron,” said Hermione and we run to the hall.
 
“Hello! Hermione! Fanny! Welcome back!” said Sir Nicholas.
“ Thanks, Sir Nicholas!” said Hermione.
“You too Sir Nicholas!” I smiled at him. And we come into the great hall. And I see Harry run so fast towards Hermione. And he hug her. And when Hermione want to hug Ron, it just so ackward and both of them decide just to shake hand.
“ Uhh-um... Welcome back, Hermione,” said Ron.
“Fanny!” Harry said and hug me tightly. I feel like I was about to fall. And when Harry let go, I feel I blushed. “I’m so glad you back!” I just smiled at him.
“ It’s good to be back! Congratulations! I can’t believe you solved it!” said Hermione
“ Well, we had loads of help from you. We couldn’t have done it without you,” said Harry.
“ Thanks. But actually Fanny found it, but she gets petrified first and I see that paper, grab it, and the next thing I know, I get petrifies too,” said Hermione.
“Fanny, who thought you’re smarter than Hermione,” said Ron and Harry slightly punch him in the arm.
“Ow!” Ron said and I laughed.
“ Could I have your attention, please?” said McGonagall
“ Before we begin the feast, let us have a round of applause for Professor Sprout and Madame Pomfrey, whose Mandrake juice has been so successfully administered to all who had been Petrified. Also, in light of the recent events, as a school treat, all exams have been canceled,” said Dumbledore.
“ Oh, no!” whispered Hermione.
“Really Hermione? It’s not that bad,” I said.
“Yeah, but I’ve study for 6 months before the exam,” Hermione said. And suddenly we see Hagrid.
“ Sorry I’m late! The owl that delivered my release papers got all lost and confused. Some ruddy bird called Errol,” said Hagrid. Ron and Hermione look at Dumbledore and he just nodded. Hagrid stop at us
“ And I’d just like to say that a- if it hadn’t been for you, Harry, and Ron, Hermione and Fanny, o’ course, I would- uh- I’d still be you-know-where, so I- I’d just like to say ‘Thanks.’” Hagrid said.
Harry get up
“ Well, there’s no Hogwarts without you, Hagrid,” said Harry. And he hug him. And Dumbledore started to clap and we join him. I feel like I tears come down from my eyes. And all of the student come around near Hagrid and congratulate him. It’s officially the most beautiful thing that I’ve ever see.
 
The next morning, I went to the train station. It’s about to go home. We enter the train and sit in one of compartment.
“Do you think our life in Hogwarts will be just normal? Without basilisk or stone or other freaky think?” asked Ron.
“And Hogwarts will not be Hogwarts,” I said.
 
We just eat, laugh, and chat, and time just passed by and we arrived at London. And I see the Dursley pick up Harry. Ron and Hermione already say goodbye and go to their family.
“The Dursley? Pick you  up?” I asked.
“Yeah, suprisingly,” said Harry.
“I guess see you at home,” I said at I was about to get back into my grandma. But suddenly Harry pulls me into a hug.
“See you later Fanny!” Harry said.
“See you,” I said. “And if the Dursley asks you to mop the lawn again, just tell me,” I whispered and Harry let go the hug and laugh. I smiled and run into my grandma.
 
Looks like it’s another memorable year of Hogwarts and I can’t forget... Forever...
