Timeless Lover

Years go by and weather grows cold.

But forever your hand I have to hold.

Days grow shorter, nights grow dark.

Whenever we kiss, we still feel the spark.

Decades of the past were set in gold.

In my eyes, you will never grow old.

Time is of the essence they say.

So with you I spent the rest of my days.

You only have one life to live.

For you, my life I would willingly give.

They say old age slows you down.

But you say I am a queen with a crystal crown.

Our children have children who are having their own.

Our wrinkles are creasing down to our bones.

In your eyes I will never grow old.

When we have such few hours,

and our bodies turn cold.

In you love I will always shower.

You have always kept me warm.

Even through this hellish storm

in this short life we contain.

You are my house in the endless rain.

So close your eyes my love.

I promise there will be no pain.

In this after life my sweet dove,

we shall walk down memory lane.

Hold my hand.

Silence your tears.

You are my only true man.

So silence your fears.

Because in my eyes you are a timeless classic.

Even when sleeping in your golden casket.
