I was the first one at the bus stop. Also, the first one at Emily's locker. I always am. I don't like to stay at my house at all. It just doesn't feel like home. Not the way other peoples house's do. School has become one of my favorite places because, my mom doesn't expect me home and I'm safe. I'm not going to go to into detail because I don't want to break down.
I finally saw Emily approaching. It felt like I was waiting for an eternity. I pulled my sleeves down so Emily wouldn't notice. "Hey!" said Emily. "I'm not going to talk until Kayla gets here." "That's fine." I said, not really wanting to talk anyways. I looked at the clock. 20 minutes til first hour starts. If Kayla wants to talk, she better get here.
Finally I saw her bleach blonde hair strutting down the hall. Fashionably late as usual.
