I am making this into another chapter, because I didn't wanna make the A/N on the previous chapter too long. It feels weird to me and just doesn't sit well.
On to the questions!
Q: WHY DON"T YOU UPDATE??? I MISS PERKS SO MUCH!!
A: I do too, awesome person. When I began this fic I didn't expect it to get as big of a following as it did and so I wasn't too prepared to continue it. In fact, I figured it would just get lost in the list of many many many Camren fics that already exist. However, it didn't and I am so thankful. But the past few months have made it really hard to continue updating at a regular pace. Surprisingly, I haven't lost my motivation for this story (an obstacle that I too often run into when I write) and I still have sight of where I want this fic to go. I just need more time! And trust me, I'm working on it so please just try your best to be patient. I understand your frustration and I apologize.
Q: Can you do a chapter where ______ happens?
A: Hi, yes, you. Thank you for submitting this idea. If you send me this through anon on Tumblr, then I can't answer you privately. That sucks because I would love to thank you for the idea but I don't want to give any hints as to where the story is headed for those just casually reading my answered asks. But know that your ideas are read and appreciated!
Q: Why does Camila over-analyze EVERYTHING??
A: Because my Camila is a worrier and a thinker. That's just how she functions. All of the characters have their quirks, if you haven't noticed. Over-analyzing is just one of Camila's.
Q: Why did you make Clara sooooo evil?
A: Okay, I love Clara irl, but I wanted her character so bad. No, actually, I had a physical need for her character in this story. Without her, it would just be based on the happenings in McKinley and that's been done before. Drama just at school is boring, because as much as adults may tell you this, a teenager's life isn't just at school. Home life has a huuuuge impact.
Q: WHY AUSTIN? LIKE YOU COULD"VE CHOSEN ANYONE BUT THAT CRUSTY ASS DORITO JFC!!!
A: Lol your reaction is precisely why. I'm a very evil writer when it comes to characters and I love reading the comments where people just freak out over just the mention of Austin Mahone. Austin Mahone. Austin Mahone. Austin Mahone. Btw he and Camila dated guys did you know that? THEY DATED. CAMILA DATED AUSTIN MAHONE GUYS AUSTIN MAHONE OMG I BET THEY KISSED AND EVERYTHING *retreats into corner laughing maniacally*
PS: I don't give a fuck about Austin Mahone. It's not personal, I just don't care so when people get pissed its hilarious to me
Q: I get that you needed antagonists, but why not make them up instead of using 5SOS and Austin Mahone?! You're only contributing to the fandom wars and drama and bleh bleh bleh
A: No. Just no. When I make characters out of celebs, I do my best to either 1) portray them accurately enough so that they are recognizable to the reader or 2) make them so different from real life that they couldn't possibly be taken seriously as my opinion on who they are irl. I mean, do you really think the real Calum Hood would fracture Lauren's wrist over a football? I don't know him personally, but I highly doubt it. Sure, they may be antagonists, but that's mainly because I wasn't initially invested or confident enough in this fic to make all of my characters (besides the girls) from scratch. It's just fanfic. I'm not trying to say anything about the people I use for certain characters or contribute to the fandom wars or whatever. Chill fam
Q: Why are there so many gays in this fic?
A: Cuz I'm gay af and why not
Now for some more personal Qs.
Q: Do you have a girlfriend? Do you have a pet? Where are you from? How old are you?
A: I am 19 and yes, I do have a girlfriend, who also reads this. I'm from Zimbabwe, but am currently in the US. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat.
Q: When did you discover 5H?
A: I found Normani first through YouTube when I was watching Beyonce covers and then that lead me to the rest of the girls. So I'd say I found them just before the Neon Lights tour.
Q: Who's your fave?
A: Normani because Normani. But I love all of them for different reasons and I tend to switch from Normani to Camila periodically (mainly bc of ig posts. Like I have freaking seizures bc of those two). And let me tell you, that shit is dangerous. Anybody else try being a Normani girl and a Camila girl on Twitter? Yeah, don't if you can help it. If you are one of those people though, I salute you. I got attacked so many fucking times by both Normani girls and Camila girls over drama I don't even care about. Like I just think they're both gorgeous and hilarious. Don't kill me.
Q: Do you have a 5h twitter?
A: Yeah, but I don't use it. The one time I've given a reader my twitter @ was so they could send me a cover for Perks. I'm done with twitter harmonizers man. If you are one and you're cool then that's fine. But the confrontational ones just totally ruined it for me. Like I'm sorry I didn't fucking wish Camila happy birthday, but that doesn't make me any less of a fan jfc. I only have my personal and my Tori Kelly account now (and no you can't have those either you nosy's)
And lastly...
Q: WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN
A: Well, person(s), I have been busy with work and life in general. I've been sick for the past week so that sucks. Also, my girlfriend and I now have a child staying with us for reasons and it's been pretty hectic and stressful. I've also been dealing with family issues and personal issues that I have to devote time to every once in a while. I'm just a human bean doing human bean stuff. However, I continue to write when I can and that's the best I can do so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
