Before HRE left, he gave Chibitalia his hat. Chibitalia treasured it until today. One time, he nearly lost it. It was the time when Turkey bullied him. When he saw Chibitalia with the hat, he made fun of it, and threatened to take it away. This resulted in Chibitalia going on a angry rampage and kicking Turkey's ass.
In the episode where Turkey mentions the time when Italy kicked his ass, Italy becomes sad as it reminded him of HRE. He didn't show it though.
