Ashton laid in bed that night, his head never leaving him to rest. Luke had suggested he visit a doctor tomorrow and check out what was wrong with him. Ash hoped it was nothing serious. He had never been ill, or extremely ill, before, only mentally ill which he learned how to control. He, honestly, wasn't bothered too much by the thought of death, but after seeing Luke, seeing his cold, pale skin, his emotionless life, he didn't ever want to come back to this earth. One of his biggest fears was living forever. Coming back like Luke had would mean he would have to stay here and live dead forever.

The thoughts added to his sickly head ache as he furrowed his eyebrows in pain and confusion as to what was wrong with him. He heard Luke walk up the hallway and enter his room. Luke placed his knee on the bed and pushed up with his leg, pulling himself up on to the bed. He sat cross legged and stared at Ashton. Ash could only see the silhouette of the boy and sighed. He pulled back the duvet as an offer for Luke to spend the night in his bed.

Luke gracefully accepted and climbed into the bed next to Ash. As soon as Luke got into the bed, Ashton pulled their bodies together and rested his forehead onto Luke's chest. Luke's skin was cold. So cooling that it soothed the heat of ashtons forehead and body and allowed him to slip into a soft slumber.

Luke, however was not sleepy at all. He stared in awe at the mop of curls on his chest and wrapped his arm around the older boy's shoulder, pulling him slightly closer.

Ashton left a soft kiss on Luke's chest which lingered. Luke smiled and blushed before closing his eyes.

A/N okay so Ashton is still ill but they're really cute tbh. I've marked this book as slow updates because I'm not a big fan of 5sos's new music or new anything really, I'm just not a fan anymore. I am however continuing this book, for those who actually enjoy it. Thank you for understanding.
