Chapter Nine

I felt like I was hit by a truck. I let go of him my wolf howls in pain. He didn't want me. My chest clenched in pain and I bit my lip dropping my eyes of the floor. How can I be so stupid? This is one of the reasons why I was leaving him.

I saw that Jackson and Liam appeared, Liam was looking up worriedly. I kept looking at the ground. I don't want him to see the bruises forming on my face from where I got punched more than once.

"Mom!" Liam cries as soon as he saw me standing there. "Are you okay? Did you do that to that guy?"

Liam looked up and over to the guy who was trying to sit up.

'Yes,' I tell him.

"You and your Wolf are stronger than we thought" Liam says. He walk over to me so he could talk in a low voice.

'I know all I wanted to do was push him away.'

"We're going to have to talk to him soon."

'No, way I'm I going to call him I can control it.'

"Mom, he'll help control it."

'I don't need his help!'

Liam sighed. "What if you'd killed that guy?"

'I wouldn't and I didn't'

Liam gave me a look. 'Fine, we'll call him in the morning.'

Layton who was now by the guy who attacked me growled at him.

"Jackson," he growled. "Take them to my office."

Jackson grabs my arm as I picked Liam up. As we walked I caught a glimpse of Layton who had taken the guy by his shirt and was dragging him down the hallway.

Jackson made sit down as soon as I was sitting down and put Liam in my lap. He automatically laid his head on my chest and closes his eyes.

As I was sitting there a thought occurred to me. I haven't gotten nightmares since I've been here. I wonder why that is.

I don't know how long it was in Layton's office. Jackson kept staring at me and is starting to freak me out. I started to fall asleep in the chair when Jackson finally spoke up breaking the silence that had fallen between us.

"What are you?" He asked.

'What do you mean? I'm werewolf just like you.'

"No, you're not first you walk in the middle of a fight between two Wolves and then you disappear into thin air and lastly you have a fight between Layton's Top fighter and win. That doesn't exactly scream werewolf what are you really?"

'Jackson, I've been training my whole life take down any Hunter any Rouge that passes our territory I'm also part Alpha because I have Alpha's blood in me. I've trained just as Layton has to do things in life.'

Jackson didn't say anything after that but he never stopped staring at me.

I don't know how long was stuck there in the office.

But after a while Jackson stands up from behind Layton's desk and walks towards me.

"Layton wants you moved to a different room." Was all he said.

We walked down a hallway that I never seen before. As we walked I saw that most of the door to the hall were closed. I didn't understand if they were closed because no one was using them or because there were hidden secrets behind the closed doors.

Layton met us by a wooden door. I shifted Liam in my arms and he sighed in his sleep. The last couple of days most of caught up with him.

"You're free" Layton said to Beta Jackson. Jackson nodded then walked off heading the way we just came. "This is your new room its closer to the kitchen so you don't get lost again."

I blushed it embarrassment it's not my fault that I don't know his house. Layton opens the door to the room. There's a king size bed with grey and black sheets, a long dresser, and a TV. The walls were paint a dark grey like the bed sheets there was a close and another door that I believe went to the bathroom.

I walked in and laid Liam on the bed. I took his shoes off and covered him up with the blankets. I turned around to see that Layton was still standing in the doorway of my new room.

I don't say anything I was trying to make it look like I wasn't staring at him. He was wearing a dark blue shirt that hugged his chest and arms perfectly. He was wearing faded dark pants that hung low on his hips.

When I looked up at him he was staring at me as I was. Then he just walked out without saying anything. I sighed and crawled into bed with Liam letting the day fade away. Today would be other day hopefully that it's better than it was today. Then I remember what Liam talked me into.

It wasn't fair I didn't want to talk to anyone about my Wolf getting stronger but knowing that if I don't control it someone could get hurt and it wouldn't be me it'll be anyone around me. That's how my parents were found I next. Mason lucky that this skipped him if he was like me or mom and dad he would always be afraid to leave the house.
