Caution To The Wind

After the whole incident, you and Levi found it hard to keep it non-awkward and or avoid knowing glances from Eren and his friends.

You had to bribe Hange into not telling, so you had to help her bring back a Titan, the worst possible thing you could agree to.

"They're never gonna let us live it down!" You flopped into the chair in the corner of the room, and watched Levi change the sheets.

"I guess you should have locked the door." He mumbled, obviously irritated about something "if Secilia hears about this..." His voice trails off.

"What would she care? Sure she likes you, but we've been friends since the beginning I don't see the problem." You explained. "What we need to worry about is that undercover assassin..." You stood up and walked around the room.

"So far it was that poison. Nothing else happened." Levi was smoothing out the comforter, and then leaning against the wall.

"But why you...? Why not Erwin or Hange... Why a short stack who has a temper?" You thought outloud.

"Oi. Don't talk about me like that, I'm your superior." He sneered.

"No, your my friend and my lover, in that order." You went over to flick his ear, and his hand immediately flew up to grab your shirt and pull you in for a kiss.

When you finally pulled away, he walked right passed you and opened the door, walking out without another word escaping his lips. 'Dammit... He got me.' You smiled to yourself and hoped on the bed, closing your eyes.

"(Y/N)."

"Holy shit what?!" You bolted up. Secilia was standing there knowing she scared you. You relaxed and laid back down. "Can I help you?" You put your arm over your eyes.

"You slept with Levi." She said and your heart missed a beat or two. You didn't want to hesitate so you laughed. "What? Who told you that?" You chuckled, hoping your acting was good enough.

"Jean." She answered bluntly. 'Either she knows about it and is using Jean to catch me off guard, or she doesn't know and is lying about it...'

"He's a liar. That saying 'never look a gift horse in the mouth'? It doesn't apply to him. His mouth is just a web of lies and rambles and shit like that." You sat up very irritated about this situation.

"Where'd you get that crazy idea anyway? I told you I didn't like him. We're just friends." You rolled your eyes praying she couldn't see through you.

She hesitated before speaking again. "I'm gonna go sleep with him then." She crossed her arms and smirked. Cursing at her in your head, you replied as you usually would.

"Haha! Okay, good luck with that." You giggled. "Tell me how it went." You wiped a tear from your eye and clutched your stomach because it hurt from so much fake laughing.

She frowned and walked out with a stride, presumably to Levi's room. You heard a knock, the door open, and it close again. You jumped out of bed and ran down the hall to lean on his door and listen. She was interrogating him as well, probably moving closer to him.

You were furious that your best friend would go to such lengths to make you jealous. You went to her room, just to see if you could trash it. You went through her drawers first, but when you emptied it, you found a false bottom.

You lifted it up and found bottles of the substance used to immobilize Levi, in the next drawer: knives, in the next one: ropes and poisons. You stepped back in horror. 'Secilia is the assassin?!'

You rushed back down to Levi's room where you couldn't here talking, but you heard someone moving around the room. You knocked heard something of a 'yes' and opened the door to find Levi and Secilia in the exact same position you were in when Hange found out.

You stared at them, they stared back. "If we had bet on it you would have won Cilia." You grinned and closed the door back, holding back tears incase they went after you.

Of course they did. "(Y/N)! Where are you going?!" Secilia hissed from behind you, sloppily wearing her shirt and pants.

"Going to tell Jean... And Eren... And Sasha." You kept walking. You had to keep her away from Levi. It wasn't lunch time, but the cadets were training outside so you took a short cut and she followed right on your heels.

"(Y/N)! (Y/N)!" She grabbed your wrist and you yanked it away. "You told me you were going to do it, why can't I tell everyone else?" You laughed and turned the corner, breaking into a run one you got outside.

You heard the cadets a little ways from you so you ran faster until Levi suddenly came out from nowhere. You attempted to run past him but he gripped your arm.

"Let me go Levi!" You growled at him, not looking at his face, unable to understand why he would do that.

"(Y/N)... I-..." He couldn't find the words so you punched him in the face and ripped your arm free, with Secilia only seconds behind you.

You sprinted the last 200 meters and shouted: "Hey everyone! Levi and Secilia just did it!" You pointed behind you at the pair who suddenly stopped running and looked at you in horror.

"Ooh~ Captin's got a girlfriend!" Eren shouted, giving you a look of pity and you glared at him.

"We did not!" Secilia whined.

"You shirt says otherwise. And the hickeys... And the fact that you were chasing me." You placed your hands on your hips.

Levi looked as if he could kill you. He marched up to you and had a death grip on your arm. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" He whispers to you.

"Friends and lovers?" You scoff. "More like enemies." You spit.

He grips you tighter and is about to unleash all hell on you. "Ow! Levi stop it you're hurting me!" You screech, and Erwin comes to the rescue and pulls Levi off you.

You back away, fear sketched on your face. "Don't touch me with your filthy hands." You cross your arms and walk back inside the other cadets following you.

You just threw all caution to the wind and there was no going back now. That damage was done.
