Jake's P.O.V

I saw Dominic there smiling coyly at me and Alice as we walked back inside. He has his arm wrapped around Alice's shoulder, but she does not notice when he looks back and bites his lips while looking at me. Looking at him made me miss him so much, but when he turns back around I remember my dignity and him leaving my heart broken shuts any feelings I have off.

It's been almost five years since we last spoke and he just shows up out of nowhere. I hate that, I despise people thinking that they can leave after something like as memorable and painful as that night that was, then walk back like nothing happened. That's inconsiderate and rude, but he pulls it off and everyone does not care as well. We started to walk in the foyer and not even sitting down Dominic opens his mouth.

"So anyone going to introduce me to the new person or whatever she is?"

Irritated I spoke up, "Well I thought you already knew since you had your hands on her like you knew her," Everyone looked surprise as I felt the vein in my forehead popping in annoyance.

He chuckled," Well, I saw you too playing around and thought it was funny and obviously I meant where did you meet her, how did you meet her?"

I refused to speak to him or give him eye contact any longer. Assuming that Eve sensed that she started to speak.

"Jake met her and saved her from a beast. Alice is a normal human, Dom, and she's really cool,"

Dominic just stared around the room internally chuckling while licking his lips. He bit his lip and it rolled out from under his sharp white teeth. After minutes of silence and him flexing his arms in my direction while combing through his hair he finally spoke. I barely noticed him speaking which he noticed because there was a glint of satisfaction

"Oh well the new princess is a normal human, boo! We could have had hybrid teams."

He looked at Alice while she sat there in embarrassment and confusion.

"Oh Alice, a hybrid is basically a mix of different species. Didn't Eve explain this to you since well she's one as well?"

Alice stopped being confused and decided to defend herself, "Well she does not have to tell me anything she does not want to and you can stop being so rude," Dominic rolled his eyes.

We all sat in shock as Eve's face turned rose red. She fumbled with her fingers as her ears tried to cover her face. She started to mumble incoherently. Being the jerk he's was, Dominic continued to talk,

"Oh so your all supposedly the closest bestest of best friends-

"There is no such thing as bestest-" Michelle tried to correct.

"That's my point your majesty, but you guys didn't know that Eve is part bunny and part wolf. Just like me except you do not see my ears. Why didn't you tell them?"

" BECAUSE I DID NOT WANT THEM TO KNOW THAT IM YOUR SISTER!"

She blurted out and obviously instantly regretted what she said as she slapped her hand across her mouth. We sat there in silence. Our usually outgoing, always has something to say Evannalise sat there in the corner hugging her knees. Josie just rolled her eyes and picked at her nails, she hated drama. Alice just sat there playing with Josie's  hair. Michelle left the room and I just sat there astonished.
