Chapter 17

Maddie's pov

I screamed. "What wrong" Niall asked. I hid my face in his chest. "Don't you see it" I asked. "See what" Niall said softly putting me on my bed. He looked around the room. "What did you see" he asked, clearly not finding anything. I shivered. "It was grey eyes" I said quietly. "You're tired, you should probably sleep" Niall said sighing. "But-- ugh never mind" I said. Niall fell asleep a few minutes later, but I wasn't imagining. I looked around and found a paw print, right where the eyes were. Then I turned around to see the window, it was opened. Someone was here. I ran into the nearest room. Zayn and Caroline were in a kissing session. "Umm hi come with me now" I screamed pulling both of their hands into my room. "You really shouldn't be walking" Caroline said. I walked them to the paw print. "They were here" Zayn said as he ran at vampire speed. "Get ready, were having a meeting" Caroline said, sitting next to me. "I'm sorry" I said. There was an eerie silence. "About what" Caroline finally asked. "About dragging all of us into this mess and almost getting everyone killed" I answered. "It wasn't your fault" Caroline said. There was a nearby howl. I jumped. "It's not the werewolves" Caroline said as she giggled. I smiled. "I'll meet you downstairs" Caroline said running away. "Niall" I said poking his cheek. "Wake up" I said again. He didn't wake up so I had to wake him up the hard way. "Niall" I screamed poking his rib cage. He fell of the bed. "There's a meeting" I said as he looked at me confused. We walked into the living room. It was full of wolves. "This was a bad idea, we can't understand them" Liam said. A wolf walked to where I was standing. I don't know why, but I put my hand on its head. "They want you, for your voice" a rough voice said. "They want me, for my voice" I said. "What do you mean" Ed asked. "I can understand wolves, it told me" I said pointing to it. Everyone looked at me amazed. "There watching you" a white wolf said. "For my voice" I asked. "Yes" it responded. "I don't want it, they can have it, just tell them to leave us alone" I said. "It's not that easy, they want war, they want you, and they want your friends dead" the wolf said. I closed my eyes. They tried killing my friends once, it's not happening again. "What are we going to do" I said. "Fight" the wolf said simply. "They want to attack at midnight" another wolf chimed in. I'm not ready for this. I explained everything. "We killed their alpha, why do they still want you" Zayn asked. I looked around and found the same grey eyes stare at me. This time everyone saw them, they belonged to a small wolf. It was a girl. She changed shape, into my old best friend Naomi. "I'm sorry, but I have to kill you" she said swinging towards me. I was furious. My old bestfriend wants to kill me. Then it all happened in 5 seconds. I was angry and snapped her neck. Her limp body fell to the ground. "No one is going to kill me unless I say so" I said, as everyone stared at me. There were multiple howls. "I guess there not waiting till midnight" Harry said as we darted outside.
