Why is everyone acting weird?

Chapter 1

I sat on my roof staring at the perfect sunset of lake Michigan. " I'll miss you" i told my bestfriend Naomi. She stared at me." Why do you have to leave Maddison" she asked. " I don't want to see them anymore, I'm sorry" i told her getting up. "Them". I always had a rocky relationship wit my parents, who abused and hurt me. I love them because, you know, they are my parents but a 17 year old can only take so much. Yes, I'm running away. To where? To the U.K.

* a few hours later*

The plane landed in a new land where i could start a whole new life. I climbed out of the airport and smelled the air (Yeah I'm weird like that). I dragged my luggage and found a taxi. I handed the driver a piece if paper with my new address on it. He stared at me like if I was crazy. He drove me to the address anyways but he dropped me off like 1 block away. I tried paying him but he drove off. "Hmmm weird" I said to myself.

I walked to my new house. It seemed pretty on the outside and inside. Why was everyone scared of it. It did look like a castle, but that was it.

I took a deep breath and walked inside. The house was nice and fully furnished. "Okay, didn't expect that" I thought. It was about almost midnight when I went to explore around the house (she arrived around midnight). I peeked into a nearby bedroom. It was perfect, painted a light beige with a white bed frame and a nice white blanket with a tree on it. There was a walk in closet, a bathroom, and a white drawer with an expensive computer on it. " I guess I have nice neighbors" I said. I was curious about the closet so I walked inside. What I saw made my eyes wide. It was full of beautiful clothes, shoes, and millions of other things all my size!!! I smiled thinking I could never afford this. I continued exploring and found 5 more bedrooms all beautiful. I then walked downstairs. The kitchen was indescribable ( I will put up a link) and there were at least 3 living rooms, 2 small and 1 large. They all had fancy couches and armchairs that were white and comfortable." I should thank the neighbors" I thought.

*next day*

I walked out of my house and onto the chilly air of my home in London. I rubbed my arms against my chest and walked to the first house. I knocked and waited. I suddenly had the sensation that I was being watched. I shivered. There was no answer. I went to all the houses but there was no answer at all. I decided to back to my house. My stomach suddenly sounded like a dying whale. I was hungry. I walked into the kitchen and poked my head in the fridge. I made my famous cereal since I was lazy. I ate it and heard a noise. It was a hiss. I ignored it and finished my cereal, I felt lonely. I went up into my room and searched up this part of London, to find out why it was empty. What I found out send shivers down my spine and the feeling of being watched came back. Just an 8 letter word was typed on my computer. Vampires.
