Chapter 26

Maddie's pov

I groaned as I felt my bed bounce up and down. "Babe, wake up, we need to go!" A voice I immediately recognized whispered. I pulled my covers above my head. I heard a small laugh as lips tried to touch mine. I swatted them away. I heard a sigh as I was picked up bridal style. I leaned my head on Niall's chest. "Can I sleep?" I asked. "No, we're going on a date today!" He said, pushing my hair away. "Oh, sorry Ni, I forgot" I said standing up to get ready. I heard a laugh as I ran into the bathroom.

*30 minutes later*

I walked out of the bathroom, wearing a simple short white dress with a blue sash across it. My hair was left draped over my shoulders in nice curls. I dropped my phone onto my clutch and zipped it up. I looked up to see Niall biting his lip. I laughed and kissed his cheek. "Let's go" I said as we intertwined hands. We walked by the living room to see everyone watching a movie. "Bye guys, see you later" I said as we exited the house. We ducked our heads because of all the flashing lights, the paparazzi found out where we lived. Niall's grip tightened as he dragged me along until we reached a small cafe shop. "What would you like, love?" He asked hugging me from behind. "Um ill have some hot chocolate and some chocolate cake" I said as he nuzzled the back of my neck. I giggled. "Ok, I'll have the same" he said to the cashier. "The total is 15.78" the cashier responded. I quickly put my money in the cashiers hand, making Niall frown. "You know I'm always supposed to pay" he said jokingly scolding me. I smiled. "No, I don't like people paying for me" I answered. We were interrupted by a waitress delivering our meal. She stared at Niall, but quickly walked away. I giggled. We began to eat our food. I put some icing on my finger and wiped it on Niall's nose. I giggled at his reaction. I cleaned it off with a napkin as we walked to a park. We sat on a bench. "Babe, I want you to meet my mum" Niall said as he picked me up with no effort and sat me on his lap. I gulped. "I'm scared, what if she doesn't like me, what if our relationship ends because of that ?" I asked, burying my face into his chest. He rested his chin on my head and slightly laughed. "I'm sure she'll love you to bits, you want to know why?" He asked, cupping my cheeks and making me look into his eyes. "Why?" I whispered. "Because you're my princess, and I've waited forever to find you, and now you're mine!" He answered, kissing my cheek. I smiled, but didn't say anything. "Don't I get a compliment?" He whined playfully. "Yes you do, you're very cute, I'm happy that you're mine, and I love you" I said kissing him. "I love you more" he said as he stood me up. He draped an arm over my shoulder as we walked to his mums house. We stepped onto the from porch. Niall was about to open the door with a key, when I stopped him. He squeezed my hand reassuringly, and opened the door. He turned on the lights. All of a sudden, everyone popped out of nowhere and yelled "Surprise Maddie!!!!". I smiled from ear to ear. Today was my birthday, and I totally forgot. "Thanks everyone" I said hugging them. It was a small party, consisting of hazza, boo bear, Liam , Zayn, Ed, Natasha, Caroline, Ally , Hollie, Alberte, and Niall's mum. "She's even prettier in real life" she told Niall, right after hugging me. I blushed and looked down. "Niall, over here!!" Harry yelled. Niall walked over to Harry, as I was left alone with his mum. "Thank you love" she said, holding my shoulders. "For what, Mrs.Horan?" I asked smiling. "For making my baby boy so happy, he finally has his princess, and I'm glad he found you, because you made him the happiest man on earth" she said hugging me. I hugged back. "Thanks for letting me have him" I said as we pulled away. "Anytime love" she said. I smiled. Niall came back. "You see! She loves you!" He said excitedly. I laughed and kissed his cheek. Our cuteness was interrupted by Lou, like always ."Madds come here!"he yelled. I slowly walked to him. "Happy birthday!" He said handing me a small bright pink box. I looked down instead of taking it. "You don't like it?" He asked setting it down to put a hand on my shoulder. "I do, but I don't like people wasting money on me, I never got presents back then" I said. "It's ok, we're not wasting money on you, we're giving you something. Just take it please, you deserve it after everything you went through" he answered, putting the box in my hand. "Thank you lou" I said hugging him. "You're welcome" he answered, as everyone else gave me presents. I thanked them all and sat down on the floor to open them. "Where's Niall?" I asked, not wanting to begin without him. "Um we don't know" Harry answered. I sighed and began to open my gifts. Lou and Hollie had given me a camera, Harry and Alberte gave me a dress, Zayn and Caroline gave me a Cookie Monster hoodie, Liam and Ally gave me a cute shirt that said "free hugs", it matched Niall's . Ed and Natasha gave me a pair of boots and a cute heart necklace that broke in half and said "he's mine, she's mine". "This is so cute" I told them. "We got it cuz you guys are adorable" Natasha answered. I smiled and thanked everyone again. "You forgot my gift!" Mrs. Horan said. "Giving me Niall is enough" I said laughing. "Here, I want you to come with me" she said taking my hand. She walked me to her room. Her eyes got misty as she held a bright red heart box in her hand. She opened it to reveal a beautiful simple necklace, it sparkled in the light. "Here, I wore this necklace on my wedding day, I think you should too. Take care of him" she said putting it in my hand. I stood there speechless. "Thank you" I managed to say as I hugged her. We walked back downstairs to see Liam giving Niall a piggy back ride and Lou giving Harry one. "For Sparta!!!!!!!" Lou yelled as they charged with pillows. Harry face planted onto the floor. I laughed as I walked to Niall's side. "You missed the presents!" I whined. "No, I still have one for you" he said walking away into the living room. He came back with a baby husky. "It's so cute!" I shrieked kissing Niall. "Like You!" He answered tapping my nose. I took the husky from his arms. "What are you going to name it?" Niall asked. I thought about it and decided on "Sky" because of his blue eyes. I smiled to myself. "His name is sky" I said, as I hugged Niall. "I love you" I whispered onto his ear.
