10: Who Do You Love?

Authors note: Hey guys! happy new year! hope you guys were safe and had a good time, because I don't really remember what happened that night tbh... But I heard it was fun! Now the point of this story isn't just the whole relationship arc that it says in the description. As I said, this story is a personal one and I had to deal with a lot of personal, emotional and even physical demons. So for me, this story is my way of showing you guys how I overcame those demons, and how someone saved my life.

Anyways, I hope you guys had a good new years and I hope you guys have a good year! ON TO THE STORY

Mikey POV

We all piled into Beck's truck, seeing as his was the only one with enough room in it.

He started playing some old school rock songs, but none of them were getting me pumped up.

"Hey Beck," I called over the music.

He turned down the music and looked to his right to see what had been calling him. "What's up?" he asked.

"Do you mind if I put my songs on? I'm not really getting pumped up enough for this." I say, kind of eager.

He shrugged and gave me the MP3 cord and switched it to the auxiliary setting on his radio.

I knew that there was one song that I needed to listen to to get pumped up and ready to kick this asshole's face in.

I clicked the song and the first few seconds of the guitar started us off, followed by the pounding tribal-ish drums.

The boys in the back were bobbing their heads to the rhythm and Beck was even tapping on the steering wheel.

We arrived just as the song ended, which was perfect timing.

"Good song choice Mike." Ash remarked as we got out of the truck.

Only Robbie's car was in the driveway, which made this easier to deal with as no one would be around.

We all walk towards the door and Beck pounds on the door with his fist.

My heart started racing as I heard his foot steps coming closer and closer.

The door opened and...

Jasey POV

I couldn't stop crying after last night.

I mean Mikey and I aren't anything, he has Cat, but I don't think she's ever seen him this hostile and angry before.

I sit down and pull the guitar into my lap and pluck out the intro to a song that I don't think Jade and Cat would recognize before I start singing.

"God I spent so long wide awake that I feel like someone else," I start, slowly plucking out the chords. "I miss the way that you saw me, or maybe the way I saw myself."

Then I hear a voice sing behind me as well, "But, I came back to you broken and I've been away too long."

I turn my head and realize that Cat had sang that line.

"I hear the words I've spoken and everything comes out wrong." Jade continues, as they sit on either side of me.

"Just can't get this together, can't get where I belong," I sing, as Jade lays an arm around me. "Who do you love?"

"Well I've been deep in this sleeplessness I don't know why, I just can't get away from my self.

When I get back on my feet i'll blow this open wide, and carry me home in good health." We all sing in a choir type harmony.

Mikey POV

Thank god that's over. At least he won't fuck with Jasey or Cat.

Why do I feel so sick right now?

"Can we just pull over please?" I ask, voice shaking.

Beck looks over at me worried and asks, "Why what's up Mike?" As the other boys look at me with concern.

"I just need some air." I say, feeling a bit under the weather.

Beck pulls into the beach that Cat and I went on our first date.

I hop out of the car and I can hear the words in my head.

I hear someone's foot steps behind me, and when I turn around, it's Calum with an extra cigarette out, lighting his own.

After I light mine, Luke, Ash and Beck come over to me as well.

"From fable to fumble, from stable to stumble, nevermore," I start singing, "I'll say goodbye to my demons and all my break-evens, ever yours." I finish taking a drag.

Luke then continues to the next line, " I won't come back to you broken, I won't stay away too long."

"Even if words I've spoken seem to still come out wrong." Calum chimes in.

"I'll get my shit back together, get right where I belong" Ash sang, as Beck began the underlying Who Do You Love's quietly.

Nobody's POV

"Well, I've been deep in this sleeplessness, I don't know why, Just can't get away from myself." Sang the girls in their choir like 3 part harmony.

"When I get back on my feet, I'll blow this open wide and carry me home in good health." Sang the boys, Calum taking the higher part, Michael and Luke taking the melody, Ash taking the lower harmony and Beck taking the bass harmony.

"Screaming, (Who do you love? Who do you love?)" Sang Michael and Jasey, as the others joined in on the rounds.

"Who Do You Love?" Jasey and Michael breathed out in unison, unknowingly but coincidently at the same time.

The boys started to walk back to Beck's truck, and the girls stayed with a tear-stained Jasey, comforting her in a difficult time.

All the while, Mikey kept singing the last line in his head, and Jasey was thinking the same.

Who Do You Love? They thought.

For Mikey it was the constant battle of 'Should I stay with Cat? Or should I go for Jasey?'

He couldn't really figure out which he should do, and he doesn't want to hurt anyone, seeing as Jasey never showed an sign of interest in a 'more than friends' way, and Cat is the first girl to even show Mikey that she likes him.

But he couldn't figure out if he loved Cat or if he loved Jasey.

Jasey on the other hand didn't know if she should love Mikey anymore.

She was battling her own demons and she didn't want him to have to deal with any of it. Yeah, sure she didn't like Cat.

But she only wanted him to be happy, so she kept her mouth shut and even disappeared from him for a while.

She found comfort in a bottle and a pack, smoking away the anxiety and drowning her sorrows.

She was willing to let him be happy, while she was slowly destroying herself.

But Mikey saw it all. He never spoke of it because he had a feeling that Jasey didn't like the fact that someone else was taking the top spot of 'Most Important Girl,' So he stayed away when he was with her, which happened to be most of the time.

Mainly because Cat was very affectionate and only wanted to spend time with Mikey, but got jealous very easily. She would put up with Mikey and Jasey's relationship, unless there was a reason to not trust them...
