Happy Ever After

Naruto POV

I woke up to the sound of birds singing and the sun shining through the window, when I tried to get up I was stopped by an arm wrapped around my waist I turned around and saw the one I love most in the world, after the war a lot of things changed not just with the villagers but with myself. I no longer wanted to be Hokage because I wouldn't be able to have the person I loved beside me so I made a decision that I was going to leave the leaf village and live somewhere else and when my love found out what I wanted to do they agreed with me saying the village wasn't our home anymore, so after everything was sorted we moved to a nice house in the middle of a beautiful meadow with a lake near by we were happy for the first time in a long time we could finally be at peace

I heard a groan and saw my love finally awake and watching me I blushed slightly even after 5 years together he can still make me blush "morning naru" he whispered huskily my blushed deepened "morning Sasuke" I whispered back, yep you guessed it Sasuke Uchiha and I Naruto Uzumaki are together and in love....believe me it surprised me when we were starting to walk back to the leaf I had stopped and was talking to Gaara before he left for his own village when Sasuke had come over and asked if he could talk to me I nodded before saying goodbye to Gaara and followed Sasuke into the forest away from anyone

Flash back

We walked until we reached a clearing and I noticed Sasuke was nervous "what's up Sasuke" I asked confused why he wanted to talk to me I thought he would be leaving again after the war was over "I've wanted to tell you something for a long time and I thought this was the right time to say it" he confessed slightly blushing I nodded but decided to keep quiet since this was obviously something he needed to do and by the look of it he was extremely embarrassed by it "now everything is over, I'm finally ready to claim what's mine" he said looking really serious all of a sudden "what do you mean claim what's yours" I asked amused by his behaviour, he walked closer to me and placed his hands on my shoulder's "I'm talking about you dobe, I've wanted you since we were kids and I'm not going to wait any longer to call you mine" he admitted staring me straight in the eyes, my eyes widened with his confession that I couldn't speak I came out of my shocked state when I felt him moving away from me he turned around and started walking away when I suddenly ran after him and hugged him from behind 'don't go teme' I paused thinking what do I tell him but then I knew 'stay with me' I confessed softly knowing he will understand stand what I'm saying

Flash back over

When we got back to the village the council wanted Sasuke to get married and stay in the village but when we told them what we wanted the council didn't like the idea of us being together so they forbidden it and that's why we left, we've been happy ever since "naru are you alright love" Sasuke said looking at me with concern I giggled "yes I was just thinking about how you confessed" I said smiling it was his turn to smile and that's something else since we left the village Sasuke has changed so much, he smiles more and that makes me so happy to know that it was because of me. We made love again before getting up and starting our day, today was a special day since its our anniversary and we wanted to make it just like last year.

So we decided that we will have a nice meal at home and watch a movie after then maybe go to the lake and watch the stars, it was just going to be something simple because our life couldn't be better and I'm blessed with knowing that Sasuke loves me while Sasuke went to the nearest town which was a small village that we get a few things from I was in the kitchen thinking about what to cook tonight when my thoughts changed to when Sakura found out that not only is Sasuke leaving again but I was going with him
