Lilly's P.O.V.

Man, it was Friday already...

The week had passed so quickly and was filled with all those flirtatious winks and cheeky smiles, Jacob had given me. Or maybe that had been my imagination and it were just normal winks and smiles.

Anyway it was Friday now and the whole day I couldn't wait to get home and start my weekend but on the other hand, I wished the bell would never ring because that'd mean I had to go on a date with Jacob.

Not that I don't want to go on a date with Jacob, but I'm just so nervous, that's all. It had been a while already since I dated someone I really liked, or at least I thought I really liked. Wait, I don't know for sure if I like like him? Do I? Oh god what am I thinking, he's sitting right next to me for God's Sake!

Just concentrate back on your English lesson Lilly, come one. Just as I was listening to what Mr. Capet was trying to explain about an upcoming test next week, the bell rang.

All students shoved their chairs out of their way and hurried to pack their stuff and get out of here. I, on the contrary, took my time. Even though I had wanted to escape so badly only a few minutes ago, I knew I couldn't escape from my feelings.

Because I was so slow, me and Jacob were like the last ones walking out of class, and even out of the school gates. Nobody kept hanging around for long on a Friday like they did on other days, Friday was the start of the weekend and nobody wanted to miss much of that, right?

I felt his soft hand grabbing mine gently as we walked home, I felt my heart skip a beat. Since I agreed going on a date with him, he walked me home hand in hand. The first time my face went as red as a tomato I'm sure, and I was so glad Milo hadn't walked with us that day because he would totally have made fun of me.. But even now I'm still not used to the loving feeling of his right hand holding my left one.

Our walk was silent like most of the days, normally he'd ask or say something first and I'd give a short reply and then we were mostly arrived at our homes. It never was an awkward silence though, I think we were just both busy with our own stuff and I didn't really mind.

'I'll see you tonight then.' Jacob's voice rang as we were on my doorstep.

I looked up at his smiling face and I nodded.

'Yeah see ya.' I said shyly.

He dipped his head and left a small kiss on my lips before pulling back and showing me his dimpled smile like he always does. I instantly smiled back and headed inside. I loved his goodbye kisses, it made my stomach flip around haha.

I walked inside and kicked my shoes off in the hallway before continuing my way to the kitchen where I grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl stood in the middle of the kitchen island.

Not even after I took my first bite, the doorbell rang. I walked back to the hall and opened the door. Normally I would've just ignored it and let it rang but I kinda figured that this new start wasn't as "normal" compared to the others.

'Hey Lilly.' A very pretty girl stood smiling in my doorway.

'Hey Megan.' I took a step back to let her inside. 'I thought we were only gonna start on our project tomorrow?' I asked her.

'Oh yeah, but I was in the neighbourhood and thought I'd drop by.' She smiled.

'Oh well, I haven't really done any research already.' I smiled sheepishly.
