Jacob's P.O.V.

My head felt still heavy, I wanted to look up but I couldn't. I couldn't even open my eyes to see where I was. Was I actually somewhere? My head hurted too much to think, the pulse running through it, giving short but painful shots as I tried to think of überhaupt anything.

My hand went to my forehead and I slowly rubbed it, massaging the sides with my fingers. I managed to open my eyes, squinting as I looked up and got greated by just a ceiling, or at least a wall. I felt completely disorientated.

I heard a door creep open and a soothing voice called my name softly. I very tiredly tried to get up but got pushed back gently by two soft yet strong hands which always used to comfort me when I was still little.

'Mum.' I whispered. My ears not allowing a higher sound as it pierced through them and shattered my brain even more apart.

'Ssh it's okay Jacob.' She shushed me and put something cold on my head. It made me feel a bit better but I had no clue of what had happened.

'What happened?' I tried to get up again, looking pleading in my mother's eyes which ressembled mine, as she took in her breath. She helped me up, putting my pillow into the right place behind my back and handed me a glass of water.

I took small sips, letting the cool liquid stream through my troath pleasurably before gulping the rest down at once. The refreshning feeling more addictive the more I drank.

'It's okay. Do you still remember what you went to do today?' Her warm hand was around mine, almost as a worried but still reassuring sign.

'I went skating with Lilly?' I questioned her, not knowing how I knew it but somewhere inside of me it had clicked. And my subconsious had clearly told my mouth to tell her that, though I wasn't sure which made it sound like a question.

She nodded.

'But I don't- after.' How did I get here? I don't remember getting here, in my bed with some terrible headache. She rubbed my hand with my thumb and I stopped talking, giving her my full attention again as she started explaining.

'Well me and your dad were watching some tv, I was about to prepare dinner as our doorbell rang. It was Lilly and her dad. They were holding you carefully and I immediately asked them in. Your dad put you up here and Mr. Storewood told me that you had a pretty bad fall, you didn't broke anything but it was right on your head so.' I listened carefully, letting the information sink in to me.

'I fell?'

'Yeah with your skateboard. It was our fault as well, we should've made sure you wore a helmet.' I shrugged the last part away. I know that had been my fault, but she tried to spare me, seeing I was in apparently a quite vulnerable state.

'What you said about Lilly's.. dad?' I scrunched my eyebrows.

'Yeah he did the talking as Lilly seemed too upset to say something. I told her it wasn't her fault and she didn't need to worry as she sobbed lightly. It must've scared her when you fell.'

'Oh.' Was all I managed to get out. I had never seen Lilly's dad before. Neither had I seen her mum or aunt she said was living with her. Or did I? I racked my brain, it was like there was a tag saying Lilly's aunt but it had a big question mark as image. I stopped thinking.
