I lay down with him watching the stars.
" The stars are so beautiful." I said
" The stars would not be beautiful if it wasn't for darkness." He replied
" I beg your pardon?"
" Sometimes you have to make friends with your dark side to produce something beautiful. If these stars didn't work together with darkness, the world wouldn't have a beautiful night sky to gaze at." He replied
" and miracles do happen when you make friends with your dark side. That's why stars shine so brightly in the dark." He continued with his eyes fixed on mine.
