I sat alone in the library Everyday studying when I didn't have classes to go to. One day, a boy approached me and asked,

" Urm may I sit here?"

I was quite shocked because there were plenty of sits in the library and he choose to sit beside me at the little corner.

It's been a week since he sat beside me. Weeks became months. Months became a year.

On the last day of school he finally said,

"Thank you for accompanying me throughout the year. I noticed how you sneak glances at me. You probably thought I was weird and stuff for sitting beside you. I never had the guts to talk to you until now but I just wanted to say thank you for giving me a chance to actually have a companion. Even when we don't talk, it's your presence that makes me happy because I've never had anyone who wanted to be my friend what more sit with me. I always look forward to coming to the library so I could have some company. Thank you for being the kind soul that wouldn't move away whenever I came to sit. It is through your kindness that touched my heart. Thank you."

I was speechless. I did so much to him but to me I did nothing.

Before he left he smiled and said,

" small things do matter. Good luck in life."
