I had cried so much throughout the night that I could not cry any more but everything in the room felt electric and I felt more sensitive to everything, the air, their presence, and it hurt greatly when they simply picked me up. The pain to come had me petrified.

I way laid on a typical table making my back feel as though I was laying on a hot stove because of the lashes I had been recently been given which I felt begin to bleed again.

Merlin came over and looked in my eyes and said, "I will rid the devil from your loins so you may be free and may repent and see the light."

I weakly pleaded, "Please just kill me."

He just ignored me and went to lighting some candles and I just closed my eyes tight and again pleaded with God to be merciful and allow death to strike me quickly.

Suddenly glass shattered followed by a thunderous BOOM which shook the house as one of Merlin's henchmen flew back into the wall followed by Merlin screaming, "GET OUT OF HERE!"

And they all fled from the room except for two more of Merlin's guys who were thrown back like the other one and just as the third hit the wall I registered what it was. Someone was shooting these guys!

I did not have the strength jump off the table but I did have enough to roll off which was a huge mistake. I landed in glass and hit my head but not hard enough to knock me out although hard enough to split my cheek and burry a piece of glass on the side of my chin and I have no idea how many more pieces in my lower extremities.

This time I really could not move, I could barely breath as my chest screamed with pain which made me wonder if I had broke some ribs.

I managed to look at the broken window and saw that I had been miserably mistaken as to thinking it was morning for outside it was dark and snow was beginning to fall. Outside I heard more gunshots and shouting and after some time everything fell silent and still.

It could have been only seconds but it had felt like hours of silence before the interrupting sound of footsteps in the snow made me want to cry if I could but the only thing I could do was lay there motionless watching the shattered window welcome the cold night air to surround me making each shallow breath I took appear before me.

The footsteps drew nearer and nearer and I hoped they would walk away and allow me to freeze to death or hoped they would put a bullet in my head to end this all.

The door opened and boots sounded on the wood floor and purposely went through each room in the house before coming to the kitchen to see the pitiful sight of a broken girl in nothing more than a blood stained sheet.

I didn't try to turn and face the intruder, I was finished.

His voice sounded, "Oh my..." and his voice faded off making a reserve of tears fall as I realized who it was and I was not happy to hear him.
