The Kissing Booth

Chapter 2

Picture to the side is Lavender.

"Hey honey. How was your sleep? Excited for school? " My mom asked as she saw me coming down the stairs.

I scowled at her.

"I take it that you didn't have a good sleep. You don't look too good. "

"Oh really. " I replied sarcastically.

I couldn't sleep the whole night because of that stupid kiss and the person who gave it to me. I could still feel my lips tingle. Ugh.
So as a result I was super bitchy.

My mom handed me blueberry pancakes.
I quickly stuffed some in my mouth savouring the taste and I felt the blueberry burst into my mouth. Yum.

I felt a little better but I was still very sleepy.
I heard a honk outside indicating that Lauren had arrived.

"Toodles mother. " I mumbled and rushed out.

I got into the car and slammed the door shut.

"Ooh. Someone is in a cranky mood in this bright Monday morning." Lauren grinned.

"Shut up and drive. "
I looked out of the window as the car started forward.

"Oh my gosh we are twinning the same shirt!" Lauren squealed.

I looked at her top and sure enough she was wearing a white top that said ' You wish you were this cool. ' written in black.
Great.

I rolled my eyes and turned on the radio.
The Feeling by Justin bieber was playing.

A few minutes later we finally reached school.
However there was a tiny problem.
Someone took our parking space.

So basically in our school, you choose your parking spot on the first day of high school, that is freshman year. You were lucky if you even got one. Lauren and I thankfully found one quite close to the building. Well, we actually bought it from a senior for about fifty bucks. But that's besides the point.

I was livid and I want surprised when I saw who had taken our spot.

It was Jesse Hamilton.
My arch nemesis.
Well we were bff's till sixth grade but something terrible happened.

One fine morning, people started calling me Lavatory Lavender.
First I was confused. Then I discovered that Jesse had told everyone that I had peed his bed one time I had gone for a sleepover.

I was shocked. He promised that he wouldn't tell anybody.
I had actually peed because we decided to watch a horrer movie which we weren't allowed to and let's just say I peed my pants.
Literally.

When I confronted him, he told me that he told everyone about this just because I had refused to give him Animal cookies.
Seriously?!
But I was so mad, I told everyone that Jesse slept with his teddy bear, Snookles.

So, we had a huge war
between us and somehow he convinced them that I had cooties so basically I was a loner till seventh grade when I met Lauren who had moved from New York.

Now, we compete against each other in every aspect. Be it Studies or sports. It was neck to neck competition and it usually resulted in a tie.

Finally we did find a spot far from the building. As I passed Jesse who was leaning against his silver car talking to Nick, I smirked at him.
He just messed with me in my bad mood.
Grab your popcorn as shits about to hit the fan.

"Who do you have first period? " Lauren asked as I closed my locker shut.
I handed her my schedule which I had collected from the office.

She inspected them and gasped, " Oh no. You have Mr. Mathews. Good luck honey. "
I groaned.

Mr. Mathews was your typical gym teacher. Short, fat and annoying. He would be sitting on his chair all day with his feet on the desk and reading The Playboy magazine. Ew.

He somehow always have a huge problem with me and would always make me do irregular jobs like cleaning the gym when someone puked or putting all the volleyballs in their place. So I recorded a video of him making out with a lunch lady and threatened to spill it out.
Ever since then, he stopped bothering me but I still hated him.

The bell rang signaling the start of the first period. Unfortunately Lauren wasn't in it.
As we bid farewell, more like she hugging me while I just grunted, I entered class.
Oh boy.

"I was just wondering if I could borrow your lipstick." I asked Katelyn.
Katelyn was the head cheerleader. I came up with an amazing revenge plan and I needed lipstick.

"Sure Lav! But why do you need it? You never wear it. Wait, are you trying to impress a boy?!"

"What! No! I need it for something. But you'll soon find out." I promised.

Katelyn was actually nice.
She had black hair with bright blue eyes. She was really pretty.

School was to get over in about 10 minutes. I ditched the last class and made the excuse that Aunt Flow had arived and I needed to greet her.

I rushed to the parking spot and went to his car. I had collected spray paint from the Art room and I intended to use them very well.

In seven minutes I managed to spray paint his entire car mixtures of green, blue and yellow. Finally for the touch up, I took out the lipstick and wrote, ' Do not park on my Parking space ever again.

It didn't take a genius to figure out it was me.
But Oh well.

Finally the bell rang and people flooded out of the doors.
They stopped when they saw the beautiful car in front of them and started to laugh. They crowded around the car and took pictures, probably posting it on Instagram or Facebook.
Some of them spotted me and gave me a thumbs up.

I was popular in school. Everyone knew me because of the rivalry between Jesse and I.

Thinking of the devil, i saw Jesse come out and his eyes furrowed in confusion when he saw people surround his car.
Then he saw my masterpiece.

His angy eyes found mine and he stalked towards me. I wasn't exactly bothered as I continued to lean against the wall.

"What did you do." he asked.

"Well last time I checked you weren't blind. So you must know what happened to that car that was in my parking spot. How many times Jesse, do I have to remind you to never mess with me? Because you'd get in hot water if you do." I glared as I pushed myself off the wall.

He just smirked.
"Well, you better watch your back."

"Nothing I can't handle." I replied as I walked off.
