I blinked my eyes a few times my vision came back in my right eye, "oh God your eye."

"Wait. Chris?"

"Yea I seen everything happen and I didn't want to see you get really hurt so I jumped in. Well you beat the shit outta him I'm glad you did at least you fought back you did more damage to him then he did to you, you're not even crying or anything. Like some people would, they wouldn't fight back but you did and you beat his ass." He touched my eye.

"Nahh I'm not gonna let a dude hit me and cry about it, imma fight his ass back." I was beyond pissed off.

"Well you didn't lose that, let's go inside to a bathroom and get you fixed up."

"Now my fucking shirt is ripped today is a fucking amazing day already." I said sarcastically.

"Well it's a good thing I came up." Chris said.

"Yea it is, only God knows what he would of done to me if you didn't come in enough time." I said while we walked into the bathroom.

"Who is that anyways, like I know who he is but what is he to you?" Chris asked tending to the cuts on my face.

"That's my ex boyfriend, pussy ass bitch." My face was red from anger and I just wanted to go off.

"Well he's fucking dumb doing something like that to you, you're so sweet and nice." He got all the blood off my face

"Well I don't know what to tell you, he thought he could control me and what I do hell nahh fuck that." I looked in the mirror and fixed my hair and tried to get myself back together.

"Look at your shirt all bloody and ripped that's fucking wrong. Come on let me get you a new one."

"No you don't have to spend your money on me I'll just go find my friends." I started to walk out the bathroom when Chris stopped me by gently grabbing my arm.

"I insist come on you need something after having that happen." He smiled showing off his nice teeth.

"Ugh fine but what would people think seeing a student with a teacher?"

"Who said I'm a teacher? I'm a peer teacher meaning I go in classes to help I'm only 17. Maybe if you got to know me you'd know" he smiled and winked at me. We walked out the bathroom and into spencers and I got a black shirt with a wolf smoking a blunt on it and Chris got a matching one, he paid for the shirts and I changed and I got a text from Dee.

Dee: where are you were worried!! We're by the perfume store i think it's bath and body works. We'll be here for a minute so hurry up!!.

Me: I'll tell you when I get there just wait okay?

Dee: okay is everything okay?

Me: I'll tell you when I get there.

"Your friends?" Chris asked.

"Yea they're waiting for me over by bath and body works." I said.

"Well let's get some band aids and a cool paper towel for that." He said.

"I will when I get home it's cool." I said.

"You sure I can get it for you if you need me to."

"I'm positive Chris it's okay." We started walking towards bath and body works and Dee yelled my name, with her ghetto ass, I walked with my head down and Chris led me to where they were I watched his feet and when he stopped I stopped. Everyone came out and looked at me, "Adrian what's wrong?" Ray asked walking up to me.

"Nothing"

"Why's your head down? And why you got on a different shirt?" Tina asked.

"Is everything coo bro?" Joc asked.

"Adrian talk to us" Jacob said.
I raised my head and everyone was shocked, Ray was standing with his mouth opened shocked. Everyone was speechless and didn't say anything, my bruised eye and cuts on my face. "Who did this to you?" Ray asked touching my eye.

"Drè" I said feeling the anger start to come back.

"I seen Drè hit him in his car and Adrian tried getting out and they started fighting again so I stepped in. Adrian hurt him more though." Chris told everyone. Ray rested his whole hand on the side of my face, I seen anger and hurt in his eyes. Everyone was talking to Chris about what he seen and me and Ray were just looking into each others eyes, "I'll get him I promise, I'll protect you from everything and everyone nobody will hurt you I promise" Ray told me. We all walked out the mall and headed back to Joc's house, I just wanted to lay down and go to sleep. Ray stayed behind us and was watching everywhere for Drè again like he's my watch dog, I gave Chris my number and he said he'll make sure I'm okay at school. We got to Joc's house and I went and sat on the couch, Dee and Tina sat next to me still asking me about what happened. I just told them the truth, I shouldn't of lied to them but I technically did go to the bathroom. I tried laughing everything off because I'm not gonna let one person ruin my whole day, it's still morning time so we could still have fun. "Y'all let's not just stay around and be bored because of me. Let's go back out." I said to everybody.

"Where to then?" Joc said.

"I don't know y'all have ideas I don't wanna be bored because of one fight. Y'all see I can defend myself."

"But we don't want anything like that to happen again." Ray said looking deeply at me.

"Okay big boy not about to take that, he aunt goin, Let's go out I don't wanna sit here either!!" Tina said.

"Why not laser tag?" Jacob insisted.

"Perfect!! It'll be fun" I said.

"Well if y'all want to i mean im just the driver so" Joc said.

"Well lets go I gotta go to the bathroom again I'll see y'all out in the truck." I headed up stairs to change and go to the bathroom when I walked out i seen Ray, "I shouldn't of said lets go to the mall all of this could of been avoided."

"Ray it's okay I'm not gonna blame you it's my fault for thinking I could trust his ass again." I patted his arm and walked by, he spun me around and hugged me. "HEY!! Just because I patted your arm doesn't mean I like you again, hands off!" I pushed away from him.

*******2 weeks later********

On the phone me and Dee

"Come on you've known him for a while now and you still won't be friends with him?"

"You consider 2 weeks a while? I don't date older guys Dee!! Ray is just too old and he's annoying."

"Ugh!! You're so annoying Adrian! It won't hurt to just be friends with him?"

"Dee just shut up I have my reasons okay? Just like you have your reasons with Joc, which I still wanna know what happened that night."

"Whatever dude. You and Tina wanna come over? Haven't seen you in a minute."

"You see me at school though?"

"So I wanna hang with y'all again. Come over at 5." She hung up before I could say anything.
I called Tina and she said she'll be over to pick me up in her car in a minute, I took a shower and texted Dee while brushing my teeth.

Me: Ray better not be coming over either.
