Hey guys! I'm updating again (finally). I got back from my holiday yesterday so i'll start updating as much as I can (Probably 2-4 times a week). this chapter is a little bit one the short side but future ones will be longer. Enjoy!

President Charles Ackerman was waiting in the oval office. Everybody had been evacuated from the surrounding area. He hoped. There might have been a few people who wanted to see what was going to happen, they would've hidden themselves. He let out a long sigh. His family was already gone but he had chosen to stay and wait for Jack and his friends. The satellites had seen a few vessels leaving the asteroid belt about half an hour ago, presumably the aliens coming to pick up Jack. But they wouldn't get him. Instead they would fight in his hometown. He sighed and turned away from the window. Almost every country around the world was against his decision. After this even his own country would want him gone. The door to the room suddenly slammed open and the boy Marco walked in, he was wearing that red armour.

"Hello Charles!" he said. Because Charles was once a soldier he recognised the tension in his voice. The false happiness was just a way to avoid the fear and nervousness about the upcoming battle. Jack and Cassandra walked in after him.

"Hello again."

"Any news for us?" Jack asked.

"Well our satellites picked up a few objects that appear to be space ships leaving the asteroid field about half an hour ago. We believe that they are alien spacecraft's as they are travelling to fast for a regular asteroid. At their current speed they will arrive here in a matter of minutes."

"Okay then. You go now, we'll wait for our 'guests' to arrive."

"Good luck guys. Hopefully I'll see you later." Charles said. He walked out of the room, leaving the group alone. Marco got out of the armour and sat down in the president's chair.

"So, how are we doing?" he asked. Jack slipped his jacket off before answering.

"Nervous. I've been in battle before but you never get over the feeling of butterflies in your stomach."

"That only happened to me when I first started fighting Ludo's minions with Star..." Marco trailed off as he remembered what he and Star used to be.

"You okay Marco?" Cassandra asked.

"Yeah. I guess what happened between me and Star still bugs me."

"What happened?"

"They had an argument and haven't talked to each other since. End of story." Jack said in a tone that implied there would be consequences if she pushed any further.

"Is this the Star you told me you loved?"

"Yes."

"Marco, tell me why it's bugging you. These could be our last hours of life, I'd like to help you get it of your chest." Cassandra said. Marco hesitated for a few seconds then began speaking.

"I just get the feeling that we'll never be friends again. She offended me and pretty much crushed me mentally but she didn't mean it. We hadn't seen each other for a month and she didn't know that my dad had just died. Even knowing that I completely cut her off from me. Now I learn that Tom, her husband, has been abusing her and making her miserable. She was alone and scared and I wasn't there for her. She needed me and I'd cut her off."

"She wouldn't hate you Marco. If anything she'll hate herself when you tell her why you reacted that way." Jack said.

"That makes me feel worse."

"She'll get over it, she got over me."

"What do you mean she got over you?" Cassandra asked.

"I mean she's moved on."

"You mean she doesn't love you anymore?"

"Yes. That's exactly what I mean."

"How do you know that Jack? You haven't seen her in over five years." Marco said.

"Exactly my point. It's been five years since I last saw her. Before that I was away four years and she got just over a week in between with me. She wouldn't wait that long for me."

"Yes she would Jack. She loves you."

"She won't. I had my chance." Jack got up and walked to the window as Marco started to say something.

"Don't be ridiculous Jack. We both know Star well enough to know that she still loves you." Jack didn't answer, he just looked at the sky.

"Jack? Are you okay?" Cassandra asked.

"It looks like our guests have arrived." Marco and Cassandra got out of their seats and walked to the window. Up in the sky eight ships were flying towards the front lawn.

"What are we going to do?"

"You two can go and hide somewhere on the lawn. I'll go and talk to them."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. When they start attacking you fire from the sides." Jack disappeared. He appeared on the steps of the White House just as the ships were landing. A large man wearing medieval style armour walked out of the ship closest to him. He made his way over to Jack.

"Well if it isn't the infamous Jack Frost."

"Hello General."

"Where is your friend? We need both of you to ensure this planets existence."

"I know that whatever happens this planet dies, there's no need to try and fool me."

"You're a smart one. I take it this means you aren't going to surrender."

"Yes. That's exactly what it means."

"Are you sure about this? We have over four thousand men in those ships. That's a lot of people and they all have families. You'd be taking them from their loved ones. Their wife's, children, parents, siblings and friends. Can you live with that boy?"

"They should have thought about that before coming to fight me." A sword formed in his hand and he ran the general through with it. "Let them die." He said. The soldiers standing just outside of their ships saw their general die, collapsing to his knees then onto his side. They stood still for a second, shocked that a boy would dare kill one of the best generals in the army. One of them came to his senses and yelled out.

"Let's get him boys!" all four thousand men charged at the Jack and he did was smile. Armour formed around him as he began to walk towards them.

"Let them die."
