Alex's POV

Ever since I started hanging out with Severus the Marauders were avoiding me, I honestly could care less, I knew they'd come crawling back to me at some point, severus and I weren't that good of friends and I hardly see him anymore, I still don't think he trusts me.

I used to love hogsmeade visits that is until the Marauders played pranks on me everywhere I go, so I just sat on the common room couch.

"What a luxury it is to be at home" I whispered to myself

"It is isn't it" I jump and turn around to see him, "I'm sorry if I startled you" he said

"Oh it's fine Severus" I said with I smile, "I suppose you're here because they're not?"

"Well that'd be the obvious answer wouldn't it" he replied

"I have an idea, would you like to go to the black lake with me?" I asked

"Sure! Wait you're not going to try to drown me are you?" He asked cautiously

My warm bright blue eyes narrowed with worry, "no of course not why would I do that"

"Your brother has tried many times so I was hoping you were different, it seems I may be correct" he said looking down

I took a step foreword and hugged him, "I'm so sorry that my brother did that I wasn't aware" he seemed in shock as a hugged him, I was actually about 2 inches taller than him which made it a smidge awkward.

I took his hand and squeezed it reassuringly, "I'll help you"

"Thank you" he said

We walked down the hill to a large tree by the black lake. I sat down leaned against the tree, I patted the spot next to me for Severus.

We then talked about what we liked and funny stories and just got to know each other. We were then in a comfortable silence when I started singing
