A thousand years (Severus X OC)

2 years later (Middle of Harry's First Year)

Darkness, that's all I've seen for a long time, I hear muffled words and sobs, I feel myself being hugged and kisses on the forehead, what I think is my hand being held all the time. I hear the consecutive, beep. Beep. Beep. Beep, that's all I hear along with the sobs and words, if only I could understand them.

Flashback in SNAPES POV

"Proffesor Snape sir, I'm afraid she's in a coma" madam Pomfrey says

I feel tears slightly dripping down my cheeks, I had lost Lilly, and now I had lost Alex.

~1 3/4 year into coma~

I had almost given up hope, every day I would stay in the hospital wing with Alex, during lunch, planning time, breakfast, dinner, after classes, I even spent the night.

I could feel my self slowly losing my sanity, she had been In a coma for so long, I became the grouch I was before I met her. Fred and George quickly became my favorite Gryffendors. I know, sad.

Everyone officially hates muggle studies the substitute is an absolute bore and everyone hates her, they slack off and fall asleep, Alex made it hands on and rewarding, now they read out of a textbook the whole time.

Well I have to go teach now, goodbye.

~present time~

I shot up with a loud gasp, madam Pomfrey ran over to me, "Oh my goodness dear you're awake you had us worried sick, I'll contact Severus right n-"

"No!" I cut her off, "I want to surprise him" she nods understandingly

"I have 2 questions, what is Snape doing and what are Fred and George Weasley doing?"

"Snape is teaching 2nd years while Fred and George are at transfiguration"

"Oh one extra, how long was I out?"

"2 years deary"

My eyeballs bugled out of my head, so since I have serious bed head I clean myself up (outfit above) and I ran of to Minerva's room, I knocked on the door and I heard a, "enter" from inside, I open the door and I say in a sing song voice, "I'm back"

I am suddenly tackled by two figures, I know they're Fred and George, "Hello boys"

"We're so sorry, so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so So So So So So So So So So So so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so sorry, please forgive us" they pleaded

"Minerva may I borrow these 2 for a moment?"

"Thanks Proffesor G" I smiled winking and shooting finger pistols, she rolled her eyes at me.

I stepped out in the hall, "in no way do I want you to think this was your fault in anyway"

"I know we just felt bad, Alex you missed 2 years of your life" Fred said

"Honestly I'm more upset about missing yours, last time I saw you, you were midgets and now I only reach your shoulders, what are you 3rd year now?"

"Yep, and we're not tall you're just short" they teased

"Anyways boys I have to go see Snape next, now get down here so I can hug you" they sat on there knees so I could hug them, I hugged them, kissed their heads and said goodbye, those boys were like my own sons.

Anywho, to the potions class!
