"Carlisle! We need you home now, Annie's in labour." Alice shouted the phone as Nanna lifted me onto the room that had been prepared for the birth of peanut.
"Jesus Christ! Tell him to hurry up!" I screamed through another contraction.
"Come on Annie you can do it. Just wait a couple more minutes and then you'll have your baby!" Nanna smiled but she didn't make me feel any better.
"Some give me my phone!" I screamed. Alice put the phone into my hand and it was already ringing.
"Hello?" Said a little girl at the end of the line.
"Hi, is Blade there?" I asked, trying not to scream.
"Yes, he's in the bathroom. Who's this?" She asked.
"It's his girlfriend, Amelia. Can you ask him to answer the phone?" I bit my lip, trying to hold a scream that would probably scare the living daylights out of the little girl.
"I'll get him now. I'm Lucy." She giggled on the other line.
"Hi Lucy." I said to her. I heard the phone being handed over.
"What's wrong Annie?" He asked.
"I'm in labour! I'm ten weeks early, I know. My waters have broke and I'm having contractions." I whimpered.
"How far apart are they?" He asked, his voice full of concern.
"About five minutes."
"Are you dilated yet?"
"I don't know. Grandpa's rushing home from the hospital." I shouted.
"Whoah, calm down Annie! I'll be there as soon as I can." He said and with that the call ended.
"I need it out now!" I whined. Alice took my phone off me and started to talk to me in an annoying voice.
"It's okay. Your baby will be here in a little while. It won't hurt that much." She told me.
"Bullshit. If these contractions are bad, then I don't want to imagine what the birth will be like." I snapped at her.
The door burst open and Grandpa came in.
"I'm so sorry I took so long. The traffic was really bad." He said as he pulled on a pair of hospital gloves.
"Lets see how dilated you are." He said. He took a minute and then he smiled.
"You're ready to push." He told me.
"What? No? Not that quick!" I shouted.
"Did you have any pains earlier?" He asked.
"Yeah, but I just thought I was hungry." I said.
"Okay, Rosalie and Alice, I need you to hold her legs like this and Esme dear, will you hold her hand in case she needs to let off a little steam?" Grandpa asked. They all nodded and Nanna found my hand. Alice and Rose lifted my legs and it was time to push.
"I am going to urge you to push on the next contraction Annie." Grandpa told me. I nodded and when the contraction hit, I pushed.
"Is it out yet?" I screamed. The pain was unbearable. It felt like someone had attacked my private area with an axe.
"It's crowning!" Grandpa shouted. "You're doing great Annie, just a couple more pushes!"
I gave another push and then another. If Nanna was human, her hand would have probably fallen off.
My energy was starting to drain but then a small cry filled the room.
"Congratulations Annie, you have a..."
