I kept flashing back to last night.

I couldn't believe what I had seen. Luna, with another horse! Not even one from our herd, one of those workhorses!

I decided to keep quiet about it though, I didn't want her to be too suspicious.

I don't know why I snuck out after her, I just wanted to know what she was doing. When I first saw them I figured she was mad at him, until I saw her heal him. It wasn't major, but she shouldn't have done it!

I didn't know how to handle the whole thing. I thought I should just keep quiet but maybe if I just asked her what they were talking about she'd tell me.

I saw her and before I knew it, my hooves were moving in her direction.

"Lunaria, how was your run last night?" I asked her.

She looked up at me, "It was very good, thank you for asking."

"What were you doing with him then?" it burst out of my mouth before I could change my mind.

"What? Oh, the workhorse. You know, just trying to see if he knew what the humans were doing. He didn't know a lot though."

"Well okay." I replied and walked away. 'I knew it was just her spying. Dumb mouth always saying stuff I don't want it to!'

She continued grazing. I kept glancing at her though, I knew something wasn't right. Her ears pricked and flattened to her head. She sat up and looked as if she were trying to hear something on the wind. I acted like I was grazing too, but out of the corner of my eye I saw her start at a walk, then speed off. I walked to which direction she had gone and followed her, running as fast as I could.

I caught up to her in time to see that she was watching a Life Tree sapling being ripped out of the ground. She huffed and walked up to me. I figured she was mad that I had followed her, but all she said was,

"Don't they know we live here, what they are ruining?"

I couldn't agree more.
