Home and The Fight Before

Leonardo's POV:

We all carefully carried our brother home. Mikey carried his arms, Raph and I carried his legs and April carried the portable breathing machine we had found.

It looked so weird to see Donnie this way, with the breathing tube in his nose and all beat up. His head gently bobbed as we walked.

He was almost lifeless...

April had said he was alive.

Which caused Mikey to do his little "Victory Dance." He stopped when April told us he would need help breathing.

We were almost home when I stopped, a very important thought grabbing my attention.

"Why did we stop Leo?" Raphael asked his usual grumpy mood coming back.

"I just thought of an important detail." I looked at my two brothers and April.

"And what is that?" April asked checking the portable machine making sure it did it's job.

"What are we going to tell Master Splinter?"

Everyone's eyes widened. With the new problem at hand.

What are we going to tell him?

The thought passed through every conscious mind.

They looked towards me hoping I had the answer. But it was Raph who answered.

"We'll figure that out when it happens. One problem at a time Leo."

We all nodded in agreement. Even though we agreed I was still worried about explaining this to Splinter.

We set Donnie gently on the couch and set the machine next to him. It hummed quietly telling us it was working.

We all sat around Donnie watching him, waiting for him to wake up.

"I-I wish I could stay but I need to get home..." April got up and left.

We all knew the real reason she was leaving. She couldn't stand seeing Donnie like this after their fight.

A week before last month, April came to the lair and announced that she and Casey where engaged.

Donnie had told her to think about it longer. But April had gotten mad and told him He was selfish and just didn't want to see her happy.

She left after she had slapped him. They both cried that night.

What she didn't know was that a week later he went to apologize to her.

That was the last time we had seen him, till tonight...
