Chapter 19

Steve and Peter came tumbling in while Danny calmly walked in.

"Hello everyone." Danny said, we all mumbled 'hey' and 'hi', still wondering about the noise.

"What happened?" Natasha asked.

"Well," Peter began, "Mister 'goody two-shoes' over here bumped into one of the unauthorized weapons and almost took both of our heads off."

Steve's eyes bulged. "I thought we weren't telling anyone!"

Peter sighed. "Too late."

I laughed while everyone else was silent. I forgot that we could all be in danger. "Sorry." I said. "Insane, remember?" Out of the corner of my eye I saw Peter smirk.

"What did the gun look like?" Clint asked.

"I dont remember, I hit the ground right away." Steve said, Tony smirked.

Clint looked at Peter. "Did you see it?"

Peter shook his head and pointed to Steve. "Ditto."

Natasha walked back into the room, which was weird because I never saw her leave. Oh well, she's a master assasin how should I know her tricks?

"Fury is handling it, it was one of the weaker weapons." Natasha said. I heard Steve breathe out. There was a knock at the door.

"I got this guys." Clint said and opened the door. It was a bunch of heroes, in their human form. I looked at the time, 8pm, right on time. Clint let everyone in.

Tony hit the music. "Let's get this party started!" A few people cheered, most just smiled or laughed.

Peter made his way over to me. "Hey, still got your head huh?" I said to Peter, he laughed.

"Yeah I do. Do you have yours?" He asked.

"Not really." I replied, Peter laughed.

"And thats the way I like it." He said and kissed my forehead. "So what were you doing here so early? I thought you'd be back in Gotham, where I still need to visit by the way."

I smiled. "Well, I kind of got the time wrong. And about Gotham... it's a dangerous place. You'll see it, you'll meet everyone, maybe even Bruce Wayne, just not quite yet."

"Okay." Peter said and smiled. I talked to various people and danced to a couple songs I knew, then I saw Sage.

"Hey! You didnt tell me you were coming!" I said.

"I know, I texted you a million times but you didn't answer." Sage shouted, trying to be heard over the music.

I pulled out my phone. 25 new messages.

"Sorry! I was either sleeping or messing around." I replied.

She smiled. "It's fine." Tony turned down the music.

"Attention!" Tony yelled. "Hello!! So due to weather difficulties, you are all trapped here over night." People mumbled. "So, I'm volenteering Natalie, Danny, and Bruce to show you where you can sleep. Go!" Tony stepped down from the table he was standing on.
