One month later...
Tess' (P.O.V.) "Oh my gosh... Jeff, really?" I shrieked as Jeff scooped me up. I had a blindfold on and trusted my senses around me. I listened to Jeff's heavy feet squeak against the mud and fresh grass. It was Spring and the air was crisp and beautiful with the sun shining down as always. We were back at the castle and decided to officially live there to raise Emma. We gave my childhood home to Maria when she moved here. She absolutely loves it and can watch Emma whenever we want. And well for Emma, she is so much bigger. Even for a 4 month year old, it's ridiculous on how fat she is. My little goober. "Okay Jeff are we almost there?" I laughed quietly. "Here." He replied. "Oh." I muttered. Jeff carefully puts me down on the wet earth from the rain last night and helped me sit down on a... Log? It felt like a log. "Okay, take it off." He ordered in a whisper. I took off the black blind fold and viewed my surroundings. Oh it can't be. This was where I blacked out and had my comma for those many years. And than later on had cancer which I survived very well. But still... All I can think about is that this stump has bad memories written all over it. "Why did you take me here, Jeff?" I asked sadly. "Good question, um." He said nervously and rubbed his forehead with a shaking hand. "You see, I'm tired of this stump of having bad memories. So let's make a good one." Jeff gets up from his spot next to me and gets on one knee, holding a tiny black box that revealed a stunning ring. Oh my gosh. My eyes widened with happiness. "Tess Winifred Elizabeth, will you marry the bastard that I am?" Jeff asked with a hopeful look on his face. "Why, Jeff Anthony Kingsley, I've waited 10 years for that question. I most definitely will." I giggled loudly and fell into him, hugging him tightly. I laughed when he picked me up and swung me around. I felt his cold lips on me and knew he is mine now. "I love you, Jeff Kingsley." I uttered into his ear. "I know. You tell me every second." He tapped my noise and grinned widely. He slid the ring onto my left finger and it fit like a glove. "This ring, where did you get it?" I whispered and stared with admiration at the ring. "Slender's mother. So it's not the youngest thing ever. But the only sentimental thing he had left of her, so let take care of it." He utters and beams at me with joyful eyes. I suddenly heard a twig snap and I turned around quickly. I'm still somewhat paranoid as to what happened last month. "Dang it! Be more quieter, you dwarf!" I saw Masky spit at Ben. "I'm not a dwarf!" Ben whines in his squeaky voice. Jeff and I saw all of them did.. Such "a wonderful" job at hiding behind the nearest tree. "We can see you, you know?" Jeff shakes his head. "No you can't." Locks giggles. "Jeff and Tess are getting married!" Sally sings and runs out, giving Jeff a hug around his torso. She's so short but so adorable. "Thanks squirt." Jeff gives a nudge on her head. "Jeff, really?" Sally smacks Jeff on the arm. "Chloe did my hair this morning!" She complained. "Aw, don't you just love teenagers?" I laughed at Jeff annoyed expression on his face. I smiled warmly at her. "Congrats, Tess." Sally opens her wide arms and hugs me. I picked her up and hugged her back. "Okay who else is there?" Jeff calls out to the group, looking irritated. "Just about the rest of us." Masky mumbles embarrassingly as they all come out. "How much did you hear?" Jeff said with his hands on his hips. "Jeff it's okay." I laughed with no worries and continued to carry Sally. "Nothing much. Didn't hear much." Ben whispers quickly with lies written all over his face. I know when he's lying. I rolled my eyes and Sally giggles with me. "You all go inside." I put Sally down and watched her run with the rest. Jeff stops before he says something and looks up at the tree. "Really guys?" Jeff asks the tree, still looking up. I looked up and saw nothing but branches and the greenness of the leaves. I furrowed my eyes as I continued to stare up at the tree. "What Jeff?" Than I saw a quick flash of red hair pop out of a branch. Oh Chloe. How are they hiding so well when the group couldn't? "How did you guys get up there?" I called. I watched them carefully climb down tree as I run a hand through my straighten hair. Chloe and Liu stand awkwardly in front of us. Liu picks up Jeff and hugs him tightly. "I think Jeff is suffocating." I whispered worriedly. "I can't breathe..." Jeff manages to get out. I laughed at the two and looked at Chloe. I stopped when she was crying with a goofy smile on her face. "I've waited so long for this!" She jumped up and down and clapped her hands. "Come here you!" I chuckled and embraced her tightly. I'm going to miss her... Suddenly the feeling of wanting to kill came over me and pushed Chloe away immediately. "Um Jeff. I gotta..." I gave him the look. "Oh. Go." He orders and gives me a stern look. Chloe and Liu know about me now, that I have the urges to kill those who don't belong on earth. Evil people and that was why Jane had to end. But Chloe and Liu still continue to love me. I ran faster in the darkness under the moon than before in my sluggish, human body. Now I feel like I'm flying and it's a wonderful feeling. I went to the nearest bar in my tattered blue dress that was too short for me. Thanks Chloe...? Anyway, it was comfortable though. I probably looked crazy with my hair flown out of my face and the dirt on my dress. But who cares? I'm going to kill some punk who deserves it. I walked in and ordered myself an ale beer as I sat down on the stool. I looked around observably and saw nothing mischief going on. C'mon! There has to be something going on. The tv came louder to my senses as I looked up to view it. The handsome news reporter with green eyes and chiseled features said there was a robbery near Boston in a Jared's jewelry store. Here I go. I paid for the beer and walked out of the bar with bare feet. That was probably why I got so many stares a well. I ran in a flash behind many buildings and laughed at the same time. I couldn't wait. This was my 13th kill during this whole month of March and I'm pretty good. I saw a fit man in all black with a skiing mask, disguising his face, run out the back of Jared's and big bag of jewelry in his hand. "You're mine..." I whispered darkly and plunged at the man. I took off the mask and realised it was Mr. Simmons who had a few grey hairs and wrinkles around his eyes and mouth. "Mr. Simmons?!" I screeched in a whisper. "What do you think you're doing?!" "Tess?" He calls in disbelief. "I go-" he tried to explain but I stopped him, "Explain later! The police are very close! Lets go!" I hushed. We surprisingly made it safely back at the castle without anyone stopping us. But me knowing the hidden ways to the castle really helps. "Look who I found." I said dryly and threw mr. Simmons to the ground in front of Jeff. "Where's the bag of jewelry?" Mr. Simmons asks frantically. "I left it out on the back of the store. You don't need it." I mumbled. Chloe and Liu give questioning looks while on the couch playing with Lizzie and Emma. "Mr. Simmons, why are you robbing a jewelry store? That's for bad people out there. And you're not a bad man." Jeff crouches down to make eye contact with him. "Let's go in your office, Jeff." I demanded quietly. We walked inside the office while Jeff sat on his revolving chair and I sat with Mr. Simmons on the love sofa. "Well, why are you doing this?" I ask quietly with my cheek resting on my fist. I watched the tears well up in his eyes and he looks down with shame on his face. "You can tell us mr. Simmons." Jeff mutters and crosses his legs as he leans into his chair. "I got fired for yelling at a student who wasn't cooperating and now I can barely pay the bills. The jobs I've interviewed we're horrible and it's hard. I can't do it." He swallows hard and covers his face. I rubbed his back and leaned my chin on his shoulder. It was hard seeing my favourite teacher in emotional pain. "Wait for a student who wasn't cooperating? I don't remember the rules being like that at the school." Jeff whispers and looks more than confused. "Well, that was 10 years ago, Jeff. Things change and this is the new age. Kids are crazy." I uttered while Mr. Simmons nods his head in agreement. "I mean, this girl is crazy. She's so rude, doesn't care to improve herself and she cusses at me every second. But they fire me for simply giving her guidance and disciplining her? Really?" Mr. Simmons cries softly with his eye shut tight. I sighed and hugged him. "It'll be alright mr. Simmons." I whispered with comfort. Jeff watched with wide eyes. "I've always hated the principle there." Jeff mutters darkly. "How about this? We give you $10,00 and you make a better of yourself? Start over or find a wife and make kids. Whatever. You're a handsome man I'm sure you'll find a mate out there one day but what I'm trying to say is... Use this money wisely and make yourself better. Just start over." I gave him a warm smile and all I could see now was happiness written all over his face. I looked at Jeff who had a We-Don't-Have-That-Much-Money look on his face. I shook my head and walked to the new room Jeff and I had now. It was very spacious and plain but I added a little bit of my style to it. I went into the walk in closet and removed the painting of my parents in their wedding outfits. I typed in the code to the safe behind the painting and grabbed a big stack of $10,000 from my savings. Don't worry, I still have about $500,000 left in there. That was basically all of the money my mother left me during my comma. I ran down stairs with the money inside in my bra. I took it out when I sat beside Mr. Simmons who gave me a crazy expression on his face. Jeff looked at me like I was out of my mind. "Now, before you grab this, please, please, please use it wisely. Or I will kill you in your sleep, if you end like a hobo on the streets of Boston and use all that money on worthless things. Understand?" I demanded while he gave me a quick nod and fear mixed with happiness trembling in his eyes. I laughed and hugged him tightly. "Good luck mr. Simmons." I whispered into his ear. "Thank you so much, Tess. You've always been my favorite student." He chuckles. We told mr. Simmons goodbye when Jeff ran up to our room. "I'll be there in a minute. I need to get Emma." I called in a hurry as I locked the door. I gently grabbed Emma from Chloe and kissed her cheek, trying to enjoy her every moment. Good and bad. Laughter and cries. I walked into the room while Jeff changes into a flannel and jeans with black socks on. I stared at my oval shaped ring with many diamonds crested into it, for the longest time, while Jeff and Emma watched TV on the bed. I sat with them as I continued to admire the ring. I looked up and saw that Jeff sacrificed himself to watch Teletubbies with Emma. She is so fascinated with them. I chuckled quietly as Emma stared deeply at television while Jeff looks at me with furrowed eyebrows. "What's the matter?" I asked with confusion. "Random question: What happened to Marla, your chihuahua?" Jeff asks and stares off. "Oh I forgot to tell you, I guess. She died in my senior year of high school. Like, two weeks after I met you." I explained quietly. "How come you didn't tell me?" He looks at me worried eyes. "Well, I think it was because we didn't hang out as much after that project we did for Mr. Simmons. Remember? That awkward day..." I breathed in uncomfortably and adjusted myself in the bed to lie down. "Oh... that day." Jeff chuckles quietly. Emma gave me attention and climbed onto me. I lied her stomach on my chest and pretended to bite her fingers. She continues to stare at me with curious eyes as I talked to her in a hushed tone. Jeff change the channel to the history channel and watches some military show. "They've done so much for our country. It's mind blowing." I slightly smiled as I listened to the show. "Definitely." Jeff agrees. Chloe marches through the door as I jumped and gasped quietly. "There is such thing as knocking, Chloe!" Jeff shouts with irritation. "How come you two haven't planned for this wedding yet? Huh? You know you've got to be prepared?!" Chloe looks back and forth at us with her tiny hands on her hips. Growing up with her in high school, she's been the bossiest out of the two of us. I shook my head and stopped Jeff from saying anything offensive. "Look, Chloe." I whispered and sat up with Emma on my lap. "We've got this, okay? The both of us are extremely prepared, so don't worry, okay?" I assured her with a smile on my face. "Okay..." The way she said that sounded like she doubted us. I watched her leave the room and laughed quietly to myself while Jeff rolls his eyes. "We've got this, right Jeff?" I asked gladly. "Absolutely." He utters and pecks my cheek. On February 27th, 2014, which is exactly one year from now, I will proudly be called Mrs. Kingsley. And I can't wait...
