Jane's (P.O.V.) "She's got a child!" I screeched at Rake. Rake bares his knife like teeth and hisses at me. I heard Smile whimper in the corner in a tight cage. I kicked the cage and he growled fiercely. "Stupid dog." I muttered. "This child can be the one. She must be it..."

Jeff's (P.O.V.) It's been a while since I've seen Smile. We don't know what happened to him. It was about three years ago when all of us when out one night and searched for him... But he was nowhere to be found. He was my everything before Tess came. Dog's are surely a man's best friend. But I know the way he is, he still alive. Just out there somewhere... And I still sometimes look for him. I watch Tess sleep in her bed while I carried Emma around. Her silver blue eyes glistening at me. Yeah, I know right? Silver blue... So unique. It's been 2 weeks since we've got home from the hospital. I grinned at Emma as she yawned and closed her eyes again. I stroked her cheek with my thumb. Her skin was starting to get more of a whiter tone. She looked like an Indian when she was born. I sat in the rocking chair, watching Tess sleeping. Small sound of snores came from her mouth. She shivered and moved around a bit. It was early December now and it was colder around here in Massachusetts. And it was nothing to me. But to Tess, she can get so cold easily. I tucked the white covers with my free hand under Tess. Making sure she was warm. I rocked in the chair, humming a lullaby to Emma. I suddenly hear Tess whimpering. Must be a bad dream. "No... No... Jane get away!" She screamed. My eyes widen. I put Emma in the crib and run to Tess' side. "TESS! Wake up. Just a bad dream." But I know deep down that Jane was coming. I swallowed a big lump in my throat. Trying not to show fear. Tess has beads of sweat on her face now. She panted quietly, her eyes still closed. "She came after me, Jeff. She wanted Emma... I'm scared." She shook her head and cupped her face. "It's going to be okay, Tess. I'm stronger than her. I know we will win if she comes." I sternly look into her eyes. We both hear Emma cry. I sighed and picked her up from the crib. "Let me have her." Tess said as she lifted up her arms. I gave her Emma and walked to wall window. Staring at the fields of wheat. She's coming soon. I can feel it. I hear Tess whisper, "She's got your nose and your face shape." "Really think so?" I questioned and walked over to her bed. I stared hard at Emma and she was right. "Wow. You're right. Everything else is you, though. And I have no problem with that." I kiss Tess and she smiles. Her face suddenly grows serious. "I wish my mother could've seen her." She solemnly says as she wipes a tear from her eye. "Trust me, she's watching. That was woman was an inspiration and truly like a saint." Tess smiles and then scoffs. "Sometimes she wasn't." I look at Tess crazy. "What? She yells at me 24/7. And can be a crazy lady!" She laughs. "Well maybe because she cares for you more than you think." I slightly smile. "True." She sighs. She looked so tired. But Tess' mother died about three months ago, in a horrid car accident. By a crazy drunk driver. She was so young, only 54 years old. I watch Tess with my hands on my hips, taking Emma's pink blanket off. "She stinks. Must need a diaper change." Tess nods. I sit on the bed, facing the window. The sun was starting to come out, peeking through the tall trees. I would be sleeping by now, but anything for my family to stay awake. I see out of the corner of my eye, Tess finishing her diaper and then kissing Emma's stomach. She's such a good mother. Jane wouldn't get out of my head though. Gosh, why does she ever have to exit? I started to remember what she last said to me, "I WANT something you have, Jeff!" That was the day on graduation... And when Tess had her head almost busted open. I really think Jane did that. I mean, who else would? And the day that I left her. I regret that so much and I still can't forgive myself for that. But what did she want? Was it Emma that she wanted? But what did she need Emma for? I'm definitely not going to let that happen. I went back to reality when I look at Tess playing with Emma's feet and singing, "The wheels on the bus go round and round..." I quietly laugh at her. Tess giggles when she sees Emma smile. I look at Emma and my heart beats so much faster. I can't take it in... This feeling is so much more than I can handle. But it was the good overwhelming feeling. I grinned and gently scooped her. She was such a chubby baby. We both stare at each other and I instantly felt that overwhelming feeling again. She put her small hand on my cheek, making blabbing noises. "I think it's time she's had her first bath." Tess looks at me. "Okay. Lets do it." Tess gives me two somewhat thumbs up. And smiles awkwardly with her reading glasses on. "You're such a dork, Tess." I joke at her. "Hey!" She pretends to pout. I make a funny face at her. "Hey I love you and all, but never make a pouting face again... Just... No." I laughed loudly, I winked at her. I used my flirtatious face from when I first met her. Tess rolls her eyes. "This is not high school, Jeff. Quit it. Even though it's really hot, we gotta baby here!" She gets up and softly punches me to keep going. I just stand in place to joke around with her. "C'mon! You've got Emma in your arms! And she's ready for some cleaning! Lets move! Chop chop!" Tess ordered. "Good gosh, slow down, captain." I lovingly taunted her. I walked slow as I could down the hall way and down the creaky stairs. "C'MON JEFF! This is no time for games. I wanna see my baby's first time in the water!" She growls. "Gosh, can you be anymore louder?" I could feel her glare on me and I couldn't help but smile. We head our way to the comfy feeling kitchen. The walls were a dark green and the marble on the counters were detailed with blue flowers. It was nice. Just a little small. But perfect for us you could say. But Liu and Chloe moved to a grand and hidden house, about 5 miles down the road. They're letting Tess and I keep the house. Which was perfect. Oh, how I'm paying the bills, you say? Remember I kill horrendous people out there with most definitely not horrendous money? Yeah, it's pretty awesome. Tess carefully removed Emma's clothes and turns on the sink to lukewarm water. When the sink was half way filled with the water, she places Emma in. She loves it. Just like me, I love water. Emma makes senseless splashing and giggles. This was the biggest smile I've seen Tess wear. I'm so... Glad to have these both. And I don't regret anything from the past to get here. And I never thought I'll be like this today. Tess has truly changed me, but in a good way. Even for leaving Tess that one time. I'll never forget it. But I've forgiven myself, I guess. I look at Emma, who suddenly stops and stares at me with curious eyes. I grin at her and she continues to stare at me. I help Tess distract Emma as she lathers on the baby shampoo. Tear free. I make small kisses on Emma's belly. People don't joke when they say their skin is soft. I hear the door opens hesitantly and my heart drops. Please don't be Jane... I smell the air and it wasn't. Thank God. I thought. Instead I hear a bunch of boots squeaking against the wood floors. Oh, it's the boys. Then I hear lighter foot steps and shoes clicking against the floor. Must be the girls as well. They all come in the living room, acting like it's their own house. They reek of blood though. Must've came back from their hunting. "You idiots. You don't just come into my house like it's yours! Be normal and ring the doorbell! Wait... You aren't normal!" I shake my head and Tess glares at me. "You know they're invited anytime they want." Tess whispers slowly. I grunt and fold my arms. "I'm around you guys too much anyway. I'm going to bathe. Do you need me to help anymore, Tess?" I had my hand on the door knob. I heard her call, "No go ahead!" "You're sure?" I asked one last time. "Positive." She called again. I really needed a cleaning. This has been one of the best, stressful and most tiring weeks I've ever had... I got to the lake real quickly. See, there's a huge lake really far from the castle and a stream that's really close. But the stream is too small for me. I strip everything off from me and went in. The water usually went up to half of my abdomen. So it wasn't that steep. The water was cold as usual and I just stop there in the water. Staring at my reflection in the water. It's been a while since I've fully look at myself. I had bags under my eyes surprisingly. Wow, I thought I'll never get this tired before.
