Andy and Natasha were both trained spies, which meant they moved fast, especially since they knew where they were going.
"Let's rest here, take a rest for the night." Natasha said after hours of walking and put her backpack down on the ground and sighed a little.
"We need to keep moving." Andy argued and looked at her wanting to move on.
"Andy sit down. You need rest your leg." Nat said and made her sit down.
Andy sighed and didn't argue, partly because her leg was aching. Being shot and then going on a mission to kill someone without a car or any type of transportation, was not something Andy was a fan of.
Usually her fast metabolism helped with her healing but gun shot wounds are different when you keep walking on it.
"Here." Nat said as she handed Andy a bottle of water. "How's your leg?" She asked.
Andy took the bottle and sighed. "It hurts like hell." Andy said and took a sip of water.
The two girls stayed silent for the most part. Listening to any movements or occasionally one of them would get up and pace, mostly Natasha since whenever Andy would move to get up, she would sent Andy a look. Neither one of them liked to be sitting down to long periods of time but Andy needed to sit. The bullet wound was progressively getting worse from running away from the infirmary.
"What can I do about this? I can't slow you down and I can't risk getting caught." Andy said motioning to her leg and looking at Nat.
"I'm not sure...but you're staying with me." Nat said and looked at Andy's leg.
"Why?" She asked and looked at Nat as she examined the wound again.
"Because I'm not loosing another person in my life. I'm not loosing you." Nat said and stood up. She walked over to their bags and started to look through it without saying another word.
Andy and Nat stayed quiet, wrapped up in their own thoughts.
"Was I the golden girl?" Andy asked quietly not looking over at her.
"Sh," Nat said making the other girl look up to meet her eyes.
They were both quiet as they listened to the world around them. There was a snap of a twig and Andy jumped up to her feet.
Natasha grabbed their bags and pulled Andy down the path.
The snapping of twigs got faster and followed them.
"Who is that?" Andy asked as they hurried along the path.
"No idea but it can't be good." Natasha whispered and saw a cave up ahead. She pointed it out to Andy and they ran into it and collapsed onto the wall, waiting for the snapping of twigs to pass.
Clint's P.O.V
He sighed as he got the coordinates from Stark and took after Andy. She was in the woods, of course she was. Clint actually knew where she was heading, and she needed to heal first so they're going to be looking for a spot for them to rest every few hours.
Clint walked along a path in the nearest forest and took a deep breath as he thought of what she said to him.
She said that he was her weakness...and that made him wonder if she was his and if he really loved her.
His head was clouded in thoughts when he heard something behind him. He stood like a statue and pulled out an arrow and aimed it behind him.
"Took you long enough to realize I was here." Tony said and lowered his bow for him.
"Nobodies been able to do that to me." Clint remarked and looked at him.
"I just developed a stealth mode on this so I'm testing it out. Anyway, I know you are looking for Andy and Nat and thought I would help." Tony explained and Clint nodded his head in reluctant acceptance.
"Okay fine but I call the shots." Clint said and Tony nodded and didn't argue for once.
"They're in a little bunch of trees on the left." Tony said and Clint nodded and he started to walk over in that direction.
Tony followed close behind and made sure they were going in the right direction.
As they were nearing closer Tony took a step and put his foot down, and a twig snapped.
Tony swore under his breath and looked at Clint.
"They're going to run." Clint mumbled as the two of them heard soft hurried steps away from where they were.
"Shit." Clint mumbled as he ran after them, trying not to make to much noise.
"I don't think this is a good idea Legolas. They could think we're Hydra and kill us." Tony said and Clint ignored him as he kept running.
The running came to a stop when Clint could no longer hear the soft running steps away from Clint and Tony.
"Come on Tony! You had two jobs! To tell me where to go and to keep quiet! Now we lost her!" Clint yelled and looked at the land around them.
Tony looked at Clint. "You know I know where she is right." He asked and Clint held a hand up to stop him as he slowly walked forward to a cave.
Tony saw what he was doing but didn't say a word as he followed. Both of them stayed deadly quiet and heard two pairs of whispering and then it went silent. Nobody spoke and nobody moved. Clint and Tony had stopped and had looked at each other before continuing.
"I think they left." Natasha whispered and Clint smiled softly.
He had found them, but he decided to hang back and look over them. He wasn't going to interfere and watch Natasha and Andy so they don't have to worry about any Hydra agents coming to kill them.
He motioned to Tony to move back and Clint followed him as the girls stayed in the cave and talked in hushed voices.
"What are you doing?" Tony asked once they reached a safe distance.
"I'm not interfering. I'll get in between them if anything gets to dangerous. I'm not taking the risk of Andy killing me because I stepped between her and getting Bruce and revenge." Clint said and Tony nodded a little, knowing Clint wouldn't be swayed.
Clint and Tony sat down and looked over at the cave as Andy and Natasha settled into the ground and Natasha took first watch.
