Later, Jen was in her bathroom looking at herself in the mirror. She kept thinking how much of an idiot she thought she was for forgetting to wipe her mouth after eating her lunch from a mysterious chef. After she exited the cafeteria, Jen got humiliated (yet again -_-) from the school population because of the mess of food smoothered all over her mouth. Her parents weren't home, her 40-something mother and her 20-something step-father were probably at the movies or having sex in a fast food resturant parking lot. Jen was somewhat disgusted by her parents' behaviour, ever since her biological father died when she was twelve, her mother decided to play cougar and started to date younger men eventually marrying a guy whom Jen doesn't care for. She just steped out of the shower and donned a bath robe when she heard some sounds coming from the roof, she quietly crept to a nearby window and she saw the same guy from before. Jen screamed and went to grab a broom or something  to hit him with when the guy opened the window and came inside. "Oh no ya don't!!' Jen yelled with broomstick in hand, wailing on her so-called "stalker'. "No, stop, wait!!" the guy said. After a while, Jen calmed down and allowed this guy to explain himself. "Ok, Jen, my name is Mordecai and I'm your guardian angel." Mordecai said, he waited for Jen to respond only for her to continue whacking Mordecai with her broomstick. "Yeah right!!" Jen yelled, "you're the neighbour kid who just moved here!"

Before Jen can whack Mordecai again, Mordecai grabbed the broomstick out of Jen's hands and he tried to explain himself but Jen tried to run. "I'm calling the cops," she said. Mordecai grabbed her arm and before she could scream, he placed his hand over her mouth and fought against her struggles and whimpers. "Listen, I am legit just look at this," Mordecai said. Jen calmed down and Mordecai closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then his back started to glow and angel wings started to come out. This freaked Jen out, her eyes opened wide in shock. Pretty soon, Mordecai's angel wings receded and he removed his hand from Jen's mouth. She was still in shock as she took deep breaths. "So, do you believe me now?" Mordecai asked. Jen looked at him for a while shyly responded, "yeah, one question though," "who or what are you?"

It took a while for Jen to regain her composure but as soon as that happened, she re-asked her previous question. "Well...." Mordecai explained, "I am a guardian angel, I have been told to select one human who could use my help." "And you chose me," Jen interupted. "Yup, the reason why.. Jen to me, you are so beautiful." Mordecai said. "Awww!" Jen said, she was obivously touched by Mordecai's honest words. "The way people treat you in life, your parents, that Ashly girl, it convinced me." Mordecai continued. "So now...I'm your guardian angel!" Mordecai said, throwing some confetti over Jen's head. Jen, still trying to absorb the stuff that Mordecai said, barely opened her mouth and said, "Wow..just...wow." Mordecai laughed at Jen's reaction and asked, "Bet you're wondering what kind of powers I have?"  "Yeah," Jen responded, "what powers do you have?" "Well..first things first, I'm not magic, I can't make things go poof or whatever," he explained. "I can fly, conjure strong gusts of wind and I'm telepathic."  "Telepathy?" Jen said curiously. "Kind of," he answered "I can see things through your perspective but it depends on our bond." "Bond?" Jen questioned. "Our bond, if we get along, our bond grows stronger and if we don't, it grows weaker." Mordecai explained. "Ok, but aren't you the new neighbour kid?" Jen asked. "Yeah...that's what everybody thinks, I just put the new neighbours under a trance and they think I'm their son!" Mordecai said. "Wow," Jen added. "With that out the way, get dressed!" Mordecai said. "Why?" Jen asked. "You'll see!" said Mordecai with a smile on his face.

Jen ran back upstairs to get dressed, she locked her door and chose some rather lovely casual wear. While all this was going on, Mordecai was helping himself to some popsicles from the freezer (in typical Ankh fashion for those got my reference ;D) when he heard Jen's footsteps descending the stairs. "I'm ready," Jen said with a smile. Mordecai could only stare at her while the popsicle he was eating slowly dripped down to the floor, creating a sticky puddle. "You gonna clean that up right?" Jen said with a smile. "Yeah...I'll..get right to it." he said with an awkward smile. Mordecai focused his attention to puddle and a gust of wind resembling a small tornado appeared. It gathered up the mess and quickly found its way out via an open kitchen window. "Well done!" Jen said, clapping. "Wow Jen and I thought you were beautiful before!" Mordecai said. "Haha, thanks" Jen blushed, "can we get going now? I still have no idea where we're going."  "Calm down," Mordecai reinsured,  "just step outside." With that, Jen stepped outside and almost instantly, Mordecai grabbed her from behind and jumped. His wings opened and pretty soon, he was flying with Jen clutched tightly (but she wasn't uncomfortable) in his arms and she was screaming all the way. "You are such a baby," Mordecai laughed. Jen was about kick him but Mordecai stopped her, "you do that and we're BOTH going down." he said. Jen gulped, calmed down and started to behave herself. Suddenly, being held in the arms of a teenaged guardian angel while he was flying and being several hundreds of feet in the air didn't seem like a problem to her. She admired the way everything on the ground lit up in the night, upon seeing this, her eyes lit up the same way. "Purty ain't it?" Mordecai asked. Jen was too much in a trance and she responded by nodding her head with her mouth open. However Jen's fantasy soon came to an end, Mordecai landed in a patch of land a little bit on the outskirts of town, in front of them was this really big house almost the size of a mansion. "Know who lives here?' Mordecai whispered. "Who?" Jen asked. "Your archenemy, Ashly!" he responded. Jen didn't know what to say but with Mordecai at her side, the only reason she would be at the door of her primary enemy's house would be for one thing.....revenge.

"Wait here," Mordecai instructed as he began to carefully look through all the windows (even the ones upstairs.) Jen looked on, hoping her guardian angel would not be seen. Mordecai flew to the back of the house and after a while, he came back to Jen's side. "Her bedroom's in the back, c'mon!" he whispered. Jen nodded in agreement and Mordecai grabbed her hand, Jen for some could not help blush when Mordecai held her hand but she turned her head and she hid her smile. Mordecai picked her up and flew her to an upstairs bedroom window. She saw her worst enemy, Ashly having a sleepover with her 'friends'. "Wanna ruin this moment?" Mordecai whispered quickly to Jen. "Mmhmm," Jen answered. "Kay, watch this" he said. Mordecai flapped his wings carefully so not to drop Jen. He created a small tornado like before and it entered Ashly's room via the open window. That small gust of wind manged to do so much damage, all the girls in the room including  Ashly ran out, screaming. Jen laughed at this but before she could speak to Mordecai. He flew away with Jen still in his arms. "This night's not over yet!" Mordecai said.
